I enjoyed the passenger train educational film on the blog. I wonder if it’s still possible to have that kind of experience in a modern train?

Ernst Haeckel, not ‘ernest’. Taschen reprinted these amazing books of b&w and color illustrations of sea critters, including radiolarians and other diatoma. Very fine trip art.

Ingested Grit would be a good name for a punk band (Swan’s Esophagus would be a good name for a punk ballet company).

I’m not prejudiced, I like my women at home, on street corners and most of all I like them coming out of the water naked, covered in goosebumps.

After mulling over today’s strip, I’ve come to the conclusion that Teresa is a spy (probably from another planet) and she is sending secret messages to her cell. I think this means that the invasion of the esophagusless grit people will commence within the week, and we will all be ingested, kicking and screaming. Either that, or her password to her bicycle repair shop’s web site got accidentally copied and pasted into today’s comic.

I consider Frog Blog my modern-day Areopagus (Mars Hill):

19 And they took him, and brought him unto Areopagus, saying, May we know what this new doctrine, whereof thou speakest, is?20 For thou bringest certain strange things to our ears: we would know therefore what these things mean.21 (For all the Athenians and strangers which were there spent their time in nothing else, but either to tell, or to hear some new thing.) Acts 17:19-21

I spend way too much time here, because I can’t wait to see what new strangeness Teresa has uncovered.

That said, I would like to complain that wolves are getting a bad rap. Of course, things like this don’t do anything to help.

If you’re not familiar with the work of Tiago Hoisel, you owe it to yourself to check out this portfolio. Borderline safe for work.

After looking at that picture of Woody Guthrie, I think if they ever make another biography of him, Sean Penn should portray him.
