Whether the plan was right or wrong is not what bothers me. What bothers me is the fact that Holder purjored himself before congress. It’s the same argument I had against Clinton: You lied on the stand. If it was anyone who didn’t work for the highest office in the land, they’d be doing prison time. I know if anyone on these boards lied under oath, they’d be doing time.

The “mentality” of authoritarians in law enforcement is OFTEN problematic, like the “war on drugs” that this farce is just one more small part of. “Stings” like the Portland Christmas bomber, F & F, or recent one with the nut building R/C aircraft, often fail, because they are planned at lower levels by idiots, who have poor supervisors, and it goes up. However BIG stings, like Noriega, sometimes start at the top and work down.
So you believe that representatives of the people duly elected to the office of Senate have no – and deserve no – authority to balance the Executive Branch?? Is this also your opinion of the Watergate scandal when President Nixon faced impeachment for covering up an ill-advised attempt to make phone recordings of the Democrats rewarding donors with prostitutes?I guess you would have sided with some early Americans who tried to establish a monarchy to replace King George III with King George Washington.
