it certainly disappears around this house, every year we buy a few bags about a week before… and then we have to go buy more the night before

That sugar rush shows up anyplace, doesn’t it…maybe many parents just aren’t paying attention when their kids spazz out after a handful of candy…probably will be the last to know when the kid’s doing drugs, too…

Buying eight times as much candy as the trick-or-treaters ever get, is what’s keeping the economy from going belly-up altogether.

That’s my story and I’m sticking to it. [urp]

“You have to start early because it disappears” is a cause-effect fallacy. Candy disappearing early is the effect of buying candy early, not the cause. And we don’t want to mix up candy disappearing at home with candy disappearing in stores, either.

(The fallacious statement is likely just an excuse just to eat more candy.)

Dang. I’ll have to watch Monday Night Football in a bar, then, so the trick or treaters are in bed by the time I get home.

Wolf Emperor.. right. It’s self-delusion, just like crumbs having fewer calories than a whole piece of cake… so you eat the piece one crumb at a time… ;o)

I tried to buy Halloween candy when we went to the grocery store today. Hubby said NO. Darn, he’s onto me.
