Seems I remember Cantor saying we will spend what it takes to respond to this disaster, and find the funds by cutting budgets elsewhere. How is that not responsible fiscal behavior?

I agree the current right wing GOPs are zombies. I’m waiting for the fallout in a few years when they are held accountable and use the excuse “we were just following orders” from our corporate handlers.

Morin is a mean, nasty Moron!1…Cantor is a responsible and fiscally SANE member of a spend-thrift congress and he represents the voters of 2010.-2….in most disasters, the local people get the quickest and BEST help from local government and organizations. FEMA has been a source of wasted taxpayer monies, and has a poor reputation for actual “help” to citizens in distress, IMO

May of us in VA would love that, but the GOP-controlled legislature has the districts so screwed up, even that idiot is probably safe.

I’m not so optimistic. That district went 53-46% for McCain. Of course, they had to squeeze Dems out to create these GOP strongholds, so those like the 3rd and 8th were around 75-25% for Obama. They’ve fixed it so that in a state that is 45% Democratic, we have 3 D reps and 8 Rs in the House.

Joplin didn’t have to wait a week for outside assistance. Unike the War Shrub, Obama did not use the military to keep people out.

I hope the people in the basket are the ones who voted for him.

Back up to Swirly- on illusions- you mean to say Cheney and Bush just Photoshopped Afghanistan and Iraq, and trillions have been spent on the “illusion” of bloodshed and betrayal?
