That’s just perfect. I love it! Take care of Marm’s needs and wants and keep him a happy puppy. They are too soon gone in the real world. So let them live the best happiest life possible.

Yes, I know this is just a comic. But comics often refect our feelings and the events in real life in an exagerated or “funny” way. Or….sometimes they just make us think.

This made me smile. Thankfully, Marm’s “overflow” means that the chair shares his weight… and legs are unlikely to go numb. :)

I have a Great Dane, and I enjoy this comic for it truly capture’s the Great Dane’s personality. And yes, my Great Dane thinks he is a lap dog. He brings so much joy!

My 100 pound Great Dane (he’s just 9 months old) loves to lay in my lap. And can usually do it without hurt me, too badly anyway. Very similar to the Phil’s doing it, let the chair arms take the head and back end.

I had a Great Dane a good many years ago named Tarn of Ladydane. She was very large and couldn’t stand up under the kitchen table without lifting it off the floor a little. Big, big dog with an even bigger heart. She was kind and loving and I will never forget her.

And, oh yeah, she loved to cuddle and would climb right up into my lap and want to be loved just like a puppy. Boy! was she a lapful!
