Never understood why Li’l Guard Duck addresses Pig as “sir.” Anybody out there have a theory?

He calls him “sir” for the same reason that Marcie calls Peppermint Patty, “Sir”, in Peanuts! A feeling that the other is superior to you! No, it’s not logical. It’s a comic strip. Comic strips aren’t logical as a rule!
