That doesn’t make the workplace hostile, but it sure makes the employees hostile.

I’ve worked in stores at this time of year and the blaring music is enough to drive you nuts. Ever since then I’ve hated the song “Winter Wonderland.”

Haha! My kids thought it was piggy pudding too.
If you want a really creepy carol, check out “Baby, It’s Cold Outside”. She’s trying to leave and he won’t let her. He even tries to get her drunk to stay.

White Christmas drives me nuts. Not everyone gets or wants one.

Lighten: I HATE that song. Not because of the meaning though, I just hate it.

We have a store east of town, not sure it’s still there that sells Christmas trees year around I feel sorry for the clerk listening to Christmas music all the time. A little can go a long way.

I remember my last retail job. They had one Christmas tape. They played it over…and over…and over. When I mentioned to the manager that it was getting repetitious and offered to bring something else in (or even buy one that they had for sale there,) he said that it was company policy to play this one tape. To this day, I believe the entire corporation was actually a front for a psych experiment specializing in torture.

I hated enforced Christmas music at the workplace–and would again if I had the circumstance. It’s one thing when carols are sung with reverence and no smarm, it’s another when there’s sexy innuendo and smart alecky jingles. A little of those goes way too far!

No, DavidDow, it doesn’t help. It’s still creepy that someone wants to leave, says their family is concerned about them, but the other person continues to pressure them into staying. Have you ever seen Misery?

Christmas Carols, in my mind, are Christmas songs with a religious theme. Christmas Music is the sappy, treacle-leaden earworms that are piped in as Muzak into retail stores. To this day there are Christmas songs that make me go: “Ghawd I hate that song.”

DavidDow, that reaction to snow forecasts is national - even where it snows a lot.
