Actually, most, if not all, religions are also based on this premise. Life on Earth is just a dream like prelude to a “real” existence of some sort of after life.
A friend keeps saying we are all just characters in his waking dream, that none of us exist, except in his dream reality. To which I always reply “THEN STOP DREAMING ME SHORT AND OVER WEIGHT!!!!”
