Red flag.
Do you remember the strip from 1989, where they go to the Natural History Museum? When they were standing beside the life-sized replica of Stegosaurus , the dinosaur’s head appeared to be about ¼ of Calvin’s Mom’s height. According to The Complete Dinosaur (©1997) by James O. Farlow and M. K. Brett-Surman, based on illustrations redrawn from Paul C. Sereno and Dong Zhi-ming (1992), the head of Stegosaurus was about 17¼ inches long, which would make Calvin’s parents and most of the other adults in the strip about 5’ 9". Calvin and most of the other children appear to be about ⅓ of this height, or 23 inches tall.
