Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson for July 13, 1990
Transcript:
Dad: Wow, what happened to you?? Calvin: That darn bicycle tried to kill me! Dad: You fell off? Calvin: I took me 40 minutes to subdue it to the point where I could climb on, and then it bucked me right over the handlebars! Dad: You fell off. Calvin: Then it tried to run me over! It's out to kill me! I'm lucky to be alive! Dad: Well, balancing takes a little practice. Calvin: Do you have a rifle? Will you shoot it?

It’s pretty funny how Dad reads between the lines and interprets it all very succinctly.
