Dad: DId they say what they want? Calvin: Yeah, they want 10 dollars. Dad; I'll bet they do. Calvin: Since you're so busy, you can just give the money to me, and I'll take it over to them.

This just shows how capable Calvin is – he waited until his father was busy to pull the trick so he would, if his father was fooled, get the money. Children can be astounding.
