Must be a sunken bathroom. Otherwise all of the water would have poured out of the bathroom when she opened the door to check on him. Or maybe it’s just one of those odd quirks about comic physics. (I would love to live in a world where you can run off a cliff, pause in mid-air for a few seconds as you come to realize your mistake, then turn around in mid-air and run back to safety. That’d be awesome!)
