Good shot, Morin, you have accomplished the first rule of any debate: Accuse your opponent of doing exactly what YOU are doing. The Democrats have a history of suppressing Republican votes. Witness several incidences of suppression of absentee ballots from the military which, were they counted in the normal course of things, would be predominantly Republican and could have thrown the election to the Republican in the race. This suppression, usually through delay in counting and/or “loss” of the ballots, has occured in at least four States I am aware of (Minnesota, Oregon, Washington and Florida) in districts where the election boards are controlled by Democrats but have heavy concentrations of military voters.

Correction to the above: Oregon doesn’t have as much in the way of permanent military presence as the other three cited above other than Guard units. Please forgive my error. Be advised, though, Oregonians DO serve in all the services and vote absentee in numbers that, I’m sure, could make a difference in close elections there.

Is Morin saying that all Democrats are illegal aliens, not legally privileged to vote in our elections?

Or is he just lying and claiming that voter ID laws will keep Democrats who are legal citizens from voting, like most leftist scum?

@Bill Ewing, Harrison_Bergeron and Harleyquinn: The Republicans have been in the ;business of disenfranchising voters for years. Both former Supreme Court Justices O’Connor and Reinquist got their start suppressing votes in Phoenix.Voter photo ID laws are going to cost between $276 and $828 million dollars! http://assets.democrats.org/pdfs/photoid/Dems-report-real_cost_of_voting_ID.pdf. But we don’t have the money for schools or to rebuild bridges or other necessities.Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich wants to go back to the times when voters had to pass a test in order to vote and he wants young voters to submit to this test because they refuse to vote for Republicans. You all need to read and stop parroting everything you hear.

The new Florida law is being challenged in 5 areas, including where I live.Seems Republicans have such a reputation for denying Democrats the right to vote that the Federal Government has to approve of any changes in voting laws in those 5 areas.

It was, among other things, the voting rights act that drove the racist Southern Democrats into the arms of the Republican camp in the sixties. They have been talking in code words ever since….

Harley, you have been told over and over that was at one precinct in Pennsylvania for a couple of hours. Give it up.

Making the case that Democrats are denying votes relies on using anecdotal evidence, which Harley gives ample evidence for (though no actual evidence of fraud, you’ll note). Once you actually look at statistics, it becomes clear that voter fraud (voters voting twice, dead people actually voting) happens in maybe four or five cases per election in each state, but election fraud (suppression of large numbers of votes, which the Republicans are perpetrating) is happening all the time. It’s estimated that 20% of Wisconsin voters do not have the kind of ID being called for in the Republican’s voter suppression law. And guess who that would be? The elderly, the poor, minorities, and college students. That’s an election fraud affecting tens of thousands of voters. There is simply no comparison when you look at actual numbers.

It seems to me that you are all providing proof positive that all of the ‘idiot-voters’ are in fact >>>>>> Democrats.

The GOP knows that their ideas suck so, they try to limit voters to their lunatic fringe base.

quote……Harleyquinn said, about 4 hours agoBut the D make sure everyone votes, the felony convicts, the grave yard, illegals, Acorn terbo voters……quote.

Amen Harley!I’ve voted since IKE and in Illinois the Dems are busy today drawing anti-GOP lines to eliminate GOP members of the House of Representatives!

this is standard MO every 10 years when census numbers cause changes in state representation in D.C.

the GOP cannot top the dirty tricks of Democrats in my lifetime! I saw a Nixon win be stolen in Chicago for JFK…I read about LBJ’s burned ballots career in Texas…I saw Gore-Dems try to erase military votes for Bush and the unconstitutional effort to change the voter count in Florida in 2000…..while Dems accused GOP of doing what Dems have always done throughout their party history! Hypocrites for Partisan Democrat Control…..any means to that end!

Oregon has vote by mail and a better return of service members’ ballots. My son just returned last night after 13 years in the Navy, on disability retirement, but going back to school in the fall for his “second career”, but no, there isn’t much military presence in the state outside the Guard units, like Kingsley Field in Klamath that does most of the fighter pilot training in the region for the Air Force, and they fly over my head on the desert on a regular basis.

Listen to the whiny elephants! People have voted with their feet, fleeing Republican areas for blue ones. The voting is supposed to be reapportioned according to the census. If that results in more blues than reds, just shows the results of totalitarian society versus free ones.

In all honesty I would have followed up the first bubble with restrictions on birth control, restrictions on abortion, and restrictions on marriage. God Bless America. *

Requiring a photo ID and maybe a literacy test constitutes cheating! Of course, after all, all the illegals and illiterates will vote straight Democratic tickets . . . .!!!
