My parents went on similar trips until Dad died, and Mom went on her last one when she was 79. (Dad had died a year earlier.)

I think Val is supportive–she’s asking her Mom, not lambasting her for it.

It’s simple, where else is she about to find a babysitter at a reasonable as what her Mother charges (nothing).

Just stay out of the southern part. Bad things going on down there.

When I die, I want to go like my granddad did, asleep and peaceful - not like his passengers.

Not that old, 71, but made a first trip to South Africa this year and going back next year. This was too perfect for my situation!!! Thank you, Jan.

I like seeing that Habitat for Humanity is getting a call out in this one. She is really great about giving support to worthy causes while keeping the stories great!
