By the time you are a plugger - you have figured out that the more things change - the more they stay the same. So the only ‘news’ which is really important enough to be interested in being able to see from your recliner is Today’s Weather Report!
Nine years ago, when I made the move to satellite, the ‘newscasters’ were obsessing endlessly over what would - or would not - happen to the Broncos - if John Elway did - or did not - sign a new contract. So, nine years later, while fiddling around with my TV to get my new DTV receiver hooked up - I once again tuned into the local channels - where I once again discovered that the ‘newscasters’ were endlessly obsessing over what would - or would not - happen to the Broncos - if John Elway did - or did NOT - decide to become the New Head Coach for the Broncos! Obviously - not much had changed in the nine years since I last checked in on the local network affiliates!

I use a swivel rocker instead of the recliner because I can’t see the TV thru my bifocals and sometimes can’t read small print without my glasses!
