Unfortunately, that very thing happened to a couple last year on the California coast, who were trying to sell their boat - tied up, weighted, and dropped over the side alive. They caught the idiots (they wanted to steal the boat, basically), but it takes the humor out of this situation for anyone who is aware of the actual crime.

Right, Margueritem, it was actually 2005 when the crime occurred, but just recently when the ringleader was sentenced to death. Still fresh in my mind, I guess. I would imagine the cartoon grabbed your attention when you saw it as it did mine.

Ushindi That was a few years ago. The couple killed lived in the town right next to ours. We were so glad that the killers were caught.
