Yes, but check out what is for lunch and dinner… maybe Obama just likes “Same Old” cereal for the prize in the box!

Welcome back to the Clinton era. 8 years must not have been enough. There is no hope at all left. Sad, sad, sad can’t even decide NEW things for himself. Obviously Dale, by all the boxes of Same Old on the shelf, that must be breakfast, lunch, dinner, and the midnight snack.

CF It was an 8 years that started this mess we are in now. An administration all about raising taxes and forcing ignorant loans.

But he said change, “Same of something that worked” is not change.

MyTinyTown, anyone would want 8 years of Clinton compared to 8 years of Bush, so what is your point?

You are extremely WRONG! 48% of the nation wants McCain, of course not Bush. I thought Bush was very good his first 4, but got wimpy on his 2nd 4. But CLINTON STARTED THE MESS WE ARE IN! This would be my point.

Said nothing about Iraq. But that is something that needs to be finished. Agree with or disagree with, we have to finish what we start. Or you can call this war ‘Nam Part II.

I was referring to the recession we are in. He over taxed us all and now we are paying for it. He pushed loan companies to give loans at 125% market value and use welfare money for earned income. Which caused that market to collapse.

MyTinyTown, this mess goes back as far as Reaganomics! It was the GOP kissing up to big business who want NO regulations… plus allowing investment firms to do more than invest ain’t a good idea. Reagan wanted to do what Thatcher did in the UK, but the UK ain’t the USA ( plus the UK lucked out that the royal family now pays taxes )! Having Dubya start a war we did not have to be in which costs 2 billion a week ain’t a good idea especially when it’s being run on credit!

Oh puhleeze - this is just muckraking for the sake of it. He hasn’t even taken office yet. What has he done which is more of the same except be a Democrat? And maybe the comparison should be to Bush, his immediate predecessor - “Everything Different” Please. The world is a different place today than during the Clinton Years (as if that was a bad thing anyhow), so an Obama presidency has virtually no possibility of closely resembling the Clinton one at all.

I would take the “Same Old” 8 years of peace, prosperity and a balanced budget we had under Clinton. What makes the right mad is that he had an affair but didn’t divorce wife like a “family friendly” Republican would do.

MTT with his lemming-sized brain thinks that “we have to finish what we start”. That kind of thinking, once on the bridge to nowhere, gets you NOWHERE. Take your teeeny-tiney brain back to your tiny town. Your idiotic statements here amply display your profound stupidity.

From no hope at all under Bush to hope around the world sounds like a change to me. Heather might not agree with all the appointments that Obama has made or HIS philosophy, but I’ll take a Harvard top-of-the-class law student over a deadbeat bottom-of-the-class jet jockey who still has the silver spoon in his mouth any day.

IrishEddieOHara He already stabbed us in the back and he has not even taken office yet, the media claims the people can now wait for the “big tax break” they were hoping for and not only that, WE are ok with it.

Trogon2 All you brain can do is hurl insults to the ones that might think on their own. You are BRAINWASHED!!!! Try to say something with intellect. Bet you can’t! You may not agree with me and this is fine. But do NOT insult more for not buying in to your brainless babel.

As well all you who love this Obama bleeep are brainwashed, maybe this is the false messiah. Clinton STARTED THIS MESS!!! Over taxing caused the recession we are in, figure it out and you’ll see. Balanced budget is not worth loss of your home, family, job and all else that is going on. War is not the answer either, but I know Obama WILL roll over and play dead if 9/11 happens again on his watch. First reason is simple, he will pull a Clinton and destroy our military. You heard his comment before, right? You know the one where he said I’ll destroy all out nukes, then suggest to the rest of the world to do the same. Idiotic to even think that might work.

your right, Obama will bring change, change from Bush to Clinton X2! Scary and this might be the death to the USA. If it is, just remember who YOU voted for.

Oh yeah, 1 more thing. In a year or 2 when I am right you’ll see. BUT, just BUT if I am wrong and this is the real deal and Obama really makes some good changes, I will return and admit I was the one who was wrong and admit I voted for the wrong guy!

Even if Clinton hadn’t reduced the amount of troops Rumsfeld would have. He has been a strong proponent of a small Army with advanced technology.

A small army with advanced weapons is a good thing, but it must be backed up with a LARGE army ready to bail them out when needed. We did not win WWII with a small army and advanced weapons. We won with advanced weapons, brute force, many many solders ready to fight to the end (if necessary) and 2 bombs.

A little trivia, did you know that there was 50% more casualties on Sept. 11 then on Dec. 7th? The Dec. 7th triggered an attack on Japan (Afghanistan) and not to long later Germany (Iraq). FYI, Germany never directly attacked us either. They planned on it, but did not. As well, do you know when we left Germany? Well it has been over 60 years and we are still there! Where are you people screaming, pull out of GERMANY?!?!

OLD71, you and I were career men. There is a big difference between an occuping force and an allied force (especially when national interests are involved), a few things have changed since April 1945. Technology is a valuable resource but it is not the end, an experienced soldier is an invaluable resouece. PS Phu Loi base camp ‘69.

Obama is merely a puppet, not an original though in his skull. But hey, whats going on in CA about the birth certificate? Hmmmmm, maybe he’ll end up loosing and CA 55 electoral votes will be up for grabs. Then we would probably end up with Biden, that might be a little better?

My problem w/ your comment MTT is there is no correlation between Germany and Iraq. Germany was the main perpetrator of WWII and Iraq was NOT even remotely involved with 9/11. Not even close.

Germany was not remotely involved in Pearl Harbor either. Was my point. In fact there was a rumor saying Hitler said right after Pearl Harbor, that we have all lost the war. But there were threat to the world, so we took them on, as well Italy, or you could say all the evil at the time. Did they all start anything with us either?

Thank you lego, I know I can be off the wall now and again, but this is something I feel very strong about. My dad was on a LSM in the pacific stationed at Sipan as the Enola Gay flew over head to drop the first Nuke. Wish it did not have to happen. But I feel very certain that my dad would not be here today if it did not happen, he would probably been 1 of the 1,000,000 (estimated) US soldiers dead during that invasion. I HATE war, but if we did not fight then, we would be speaking German or Japanese. As well, if we left a dictator like Sadam unchecked, this could have been the next step, as well there was Sarin gas and Uranium (quite a bit) found in Iraq, just not as much as was expected. But the media tends to leave that unreported some due to making Bush look good. We should visit Syria next and see what they have. Just not use the retarded UN, we go and make a surprise inspection.

Wow, I do apologize I got everyone WAY off the Same Old subject, I am good at this.

Pearl Harbor was a set-up to get us into the war. Japan was no dummy and knew we were making preparations for the inevitable so they went ahead with the first strike hoping to cripple us long enough for them to get established. I think our 4 carriers were not in port for a reason as it was the holiday season. Japan and Germany may not have been directly connected, but you know the old saying, ‘the enemy of my enemy…
