This could be an example of “picking your poison”. Eat a mouse or eat the mouse’s cooking.

I think the mouse’s food would be all “au gratin”.

Garfield will force anyone to cook for him. He can’t get enough food.

Has anyone yet seen Garfield kill a mouse?

Considering you’re already standing in front of him,it’s a dumb question unless there’s a 4th. panel minus the mouse.

Nah … they all bribe him. He HAS however killed spiders … my favourite was 2001-02-07, a Sunday comic, with the last panel being: Spider: Forgive me grandfather. Garfield: A proud yet squishy people.”

lol that is so true he would be the cat to let the mouse live and make it cook for him. love it. love the facial expressions form them both in the last panel.

Garfield has a plan…Mice are small, and can break into homes in the middle of the night without notice, and can make off with all the fixings for lasagna…

My cat loved to play with the mouse but he would not eat the mouse. He loved to catch and eat the birds and quails. He did bring live quail in my parents’ home. I yelled at my cat to let it go from his mouth so I set the live quail free outside. Sheshhh!

That mouse would rather be eaten than cook all that food.

Of course he wouldn’t eat you mouse.
