Hey, it was 47 C (118 F) in downtown Melbourne, Australia last Saturday; 400 bushfires claiming 800 homes and nearly 200 lives, so we are waiting for summer to be over…

Note for Dutchboy1: Danae is fictitious–however, you do have a point. The hot air of GW comes from pols, particularly the Boaracle (aka Alfred Gore)!

Ok, let me stop you guys before you go off on a global warming political rant. It was simply a set up for a gag, so relax.

I hate to be serious, but, I think the gist of the ‘global warming is bunk’ theory is that human activity can’t affect global climate. That statement, of course, is bunk. If human activity had no effect, we might as well pack it all in, but there is pretty good evidence that working with stone and muscle humans managed to turn much of the mid-east into desert in the days B.C. so why is it so hard to believe we can affect the climate with today’s technology? (Ever hear of Lake Erie? … )

Um, Mr. Wiley, can Danae come over to my house to rant? I could use some help with my heating bill.

Wiley, Wiley, Wiley, there you go again.

You get in your plug for “climate change”, then claim it’s just a joke and expect everyone else to avoid the politics. Well, you have your forum and this is ours (tho literally they both belong to U-Click; Thank you, Mr. Click!)

Amen, tell it like it is. The whole Global Warming scam is simply a way to separate hard working Americans from their money and put it into the pockets of Al Gore and the other whiny liberals.

Actually Wiley’s right - it’s just the setup for a gag.

The punch line is: “And God said, ‘You thought WHAT? Silly people, you can’t even reach the thermostat!’”

    I’m going to be laughinnng!

Danae reminds me of some commenters on these sites. All she does is open her mouth and half the pretty stuff around her turns to slush. Sorta like project managers dealing with engineers.

Go over to Calvin and Hobbes strip, Calvin will take any excess of the white stuff. Just don’t let egos touch. It could result in a most devastating explosion.

People, people, people, Life is not always about politics or religion. sometimes we just want to have fun. Heed Wiley’s words. He is a very talanted strip producer and should not have to turn his light down. Just take it for what it is. Circuit7, good line.

Whoa! Danae had hottest temper that caused the snow melting down around her. Jeffery, you are right. Danae needs to invent micro-climate change.

Pray for loss of 200 loved ones in Australia and also, pray to stop more fires out there. Sorry to hear that tragic news. 200 is a lot! Unbelievable! I think those people who live in the area in Australia need to get out before the fire engulfed more again.

Logicman, I live in MI and know that L.Erie is a good case in point. Why it was just a couple years ago that they found water in it. Me I’m counting on the cold melt water from the glaciers in Greenland to push the warm water of the Gulf Steam, that warms the E. Coast and Europe and protects them from cold winters. That’s what happened in Dicken’s time. His stories have snow in them, but today it hardly ever snows in England. It’s called the mini-ice age. I can’t weight. We’ll finally start getting good winters, the colder and snowier the better. Oh yeah, high winds are good too. Of course it’ll be 168.2 degrees in Arizona.

Burgundy, I would not recommend it but, having menopause while undergoing chemo (with the main side effect being hot flashes) will get it done.
