Our mad Tea Partiers are made by the GOP who tell them that Obama and the DEMS want to turn us into socalist, kill grandma, destroy America, and that the only answer is to vote the GOP back into power and they will fix everything.

Listening to the GOP is worse then mercury poisoning, mercury will kill you, the GOP will just take all of your money, and leave you without health care, social security, or a job.

I think you have it backwards, Ken. I think it’s the Tea Partiers, birthers, “conservative Christians,” and the like who influence the GOP. The Republican party was at one time run by actual conservatives. The real nut jobs and corporate cronies started filtering in over the last 20 to 30 years and taking over.

ANandy said “George III employed the likes of Alcaraz and enjoyed the support of minions such as above.”

The GOP didn’t have to hire anyone. Fox “News” set it self up and now the GOP enjoys the blind partisan support of the likes of ANandy.

Av8tor, I think it refers to those in the “party” who hate government in general, not just “big government.”

Fueled by hate? I don’t think so. Fueled by the paranoia that’s America’s second nature? Yes.

“The Democrats are the Party of hate and No rolled into one”

Republicans are the ones trying to keep people from going to school, going to work, owning a home, adopting children, or getting married because they’re gay. You sure about that “hate”?

Exactly how does saying “yes” to education, health care, REAL defense, security in old age, and “no” to needless wars, bank ripoffs, greed and corruption = “hate”?

Ah, yes. Need someone for the right wing nut jobs to get all frothy and hateful on election day? Bring on the gays! Need someone to blame because the truth finally came out about your church knowingly taking a blind eye to widespread child molestation by the clergy? Bring on the gays! Need to distract the sheep from the fact your candidate couldn’t make a profit running an oil company and turned a state budget surplus into near bankruptcy? Bring on the gays! Need a cheap insult to hurl against a politician some loudmouth blowhard on TV tells you to hate? Bring on the gays.

Gays: America’s #1 choice for making the morally bankrupt feel delusionally superior.

No thanks- it was Reagan and friends who allowed foreign companies access to mining claims and our national natural resources- through regulation and law changes-THEN they hocked us to China!

Pup said “Before Obama: A Peaceful Land of Plenty. After Obama: A Land of No Resources in Hock to the Chinese.”

Well, that’s what the loudmouth blowhards on Fox “News” would have us believe. Reality is different. We were in hock before Obama. We were in hock even before G W Bush and Clinton. We’re still a land of plenty, but only to those rich enough to afford it.

    av8tor, noted and corrected.

I think the only legitimate response to this is “LoLWut?”

Hey, he got the “Land” right. “Plenty” is right to a point… he didn’t say what there was plenty of.

Pup said “The Libs ran for the office…yet… they ‘re afraid to vote”

Republicans are largely corrupt and owned by corporate interests. Democrats are largely spineless and straddling the fence. What else is new?

I like tea, and I’ve actually had tea… well, not quite. It was a grog party, and we listened to Alestorm.

Good times, except for the broken teapot. I should try it again.

After ‘Nam I spoke at a rally as to why we couldn’t “instantly” pull out, but had to work with the Vietnamese, not the French and American “business” interests, to start. There was also the “Nobody wants to be the last to die for this war” factor. A confusing time even for those of us who partook, hated the war, but didn’t see a rational nation at home, that was 67. A whole lot more died because, primarily pandering to the right, got us more involved. That same thing led to Iraq, and ignoring Afghanistan. Now we need to work with the AFGHANS, and Pakistani TRIBAL GROUPS - NOT the “national governments”, to get real progress. We need security to cover that operation, and need to be pulling out by next year- “military victory” is again impossible, and folks need to realize it.

BTW- it was poorly trained morons with live ammunition in the National Guard who turned Kent state “violent”, not the demonstrators. I led “riot control” operations, (notably after the King assassination) and trained folks in riot control, in the Army, and afterward. The NGs at Kent did EVERYTHING WRONG! (In 1970 the “riot” in Yosemite National Park was essentially the same thing, in the early phases of build-up- the park administration did almost everything wrong and failed to contain the situation SDS was building.)

Those experiences are exactly why I see “organizers” of the “Tea Parties” as just like SDS of the 60’s- low scale inciters to violence and terrorism- cheerleaders, if not coaches.
