The funniest thing about Calvin is how much work he does trying to avoid doing work. He even transmorgifies a copy of himself and goes time-traveling in order to avoid doing work. Now THAT’s dedication! :)

You did DAHamilton; all you had to do was make it multi-section and disassemble it.

Or, another way (also for Superfrog) is to cram it au Big Nate (who else can get a boxcar-load of stuff, including a hamster-cage, into a school locker?).

Reminds me of how cluttered my desk always was in school. I was such a pack rat! I remember once the teacher getting another girl to help me clean it out. She found my report card which was supposed to have been returned to the teacher after my parents saw it and signed it.

There is an aphorism applicable to all sports (and Business and Life are sports) that goes

    ” if you ain’t cheating, you ain’t trying ”

However, a little more studying and a little less fantasizing would take Calvin a long way.

I agree with Rakkav, Calvin puts so much work and effort into trying to get out of some work. If Calvin can’t get the answers on his own (from soneone else) maybe its time for Stupendous Man or Spaceman Spiff to try.

FinaFarina, I remember the pool table and other assorted games, tyewriter, television set and furnishings in Snoopy’s doghouse. It was even a meeting place for Woodstock’s friends. If Schultz were doing that strip now he probably have to do a scene with a big screen hi-def TV being delivered. ———————– The look on Calvin’s face as he’s looking over his shoulder is priceless in panel 3 - as he’s pulling out the periscope…hoping he won’t get caught.

A periscope. How clever. Who would ever notice?

    ………………………

I remember a time when I glanced sideways and copied a whole list of True and False answers from the smart girl next to me. Trouble was the test questions and my correct answers were off by one line all the way through. Teacher noticed.

In “Peanuts”, Snoopy’s bowling nickname was Joe Sandbagger, and he had an average of 1, with a handicap of 179. I’m pretty sure he had the bowling alley downstairs, next to something else, but I can’t remember what.

Yes, Snoopy did indeed have a bowling alley in his doghouse at one point. I missed seeing Joe Sandbagger, but I think that was later, when he actually played in public bowling alleys.

And if you REALLY want to stump your friends, ask them what the proper name of The Stupid Cat Who Lives Next Door was. Not even “The PEANUTS Trivia Book” has it to my knowledge. I spotted it and remembered it, when the cat, Snoopy and Peppermint Patty were in a fight. Charlie Brown named the cat “World War II”.

We now return you to our regular discussion of CALVIN AND HOBBES. :)
