Under the standards they’re pushing, I’m not sure the “Birthers” (Blatherers?) could prove that they are US citizens.

mytinytown - huh? What “fake” papers on Bush are you talking about? And guys, OBAMA’S AN AMERICAN. Get over it. Hawaii’s Republican governor has said he was born in Hawaii, there is documented proof (his birth certificate has been digitized, and it’s on the Web, for Chrissake, and there were birth announcements on the day in Hawaii newspapers), and even if he wasn’t, he’s still an American citizen because his mother was. Jeez Louise, fix your tin hats – the Rush Limbaugh mind-control laser satellites are getting through.

So, correct me if I’m wrong… Over the last few weeks I’ve been learning about these birther folks and I’ve placed them in the kooky jar where they belong. The recent spate of cartoons with this theme is clearly showing them up for they are (and I’m amused).

We have (at least) two of them right here, among us, on this very forum? Mytinytown & wbr, thank you, you guys make my days even more fun. :)

BCS you’re right we should work really hard at converting this nation to “third world” status. Once we are all hopelessly entrenched in the level of survival of the fittest then everything will be fair.

nomad, you’re right … we should all support the status quo … taxpayers should keep funding gifts to corporations so the middle class can continue to decline

and the wealthy and influential should definitely continue to live in a higher strata than the rest of us

and power in D.C. should continue to be held by political and family dynasties who reward their loyal friends with taxpayer money

and we should definitely continue our practice of believing all men and women are not created equal by allowing the wealthy and influential members of the oligarchy to enter the race mere yards from the finish line
