See?? Now we know whose evil cat is bothering Cleo. Get him Rex, for the sake of all dogs worldwide.

Is it just my imagination, or has Cleo put on a few pounds?

Rex is so patient, Bob is so vain.

Well, Cleo, you do need to keep your pretty face intact for your many rolls on stage and screen.

That’s highly unreasonable. Cats are the most unreasonable creatures I know.

    Ah… welcome, gentle folk….

and I bid you good morrow!

We are here to speak about

the June 12th  2019 “CLEO and COMPANY”

    ’Tis on Sherpa

    http://www.comicssherpa.com/site/feature?uc_comic=cscwy

And what puts me in such a Shakespearean frame of mind?

    Cleo, herself….

Pudgier than ever, as Liverlips notes….

much given to self-indulgence, with a touch of gluttony…

and as we see today… to self-preservation at all costs.

I never quite realised how like Falstaff she’d become…

Surely, as a trained Actress… she’s familiar with one of his most characteristic musings….. the essence of which suits her well, today…

“The better part of Valor, is Discretion; in which better part, I have saved my life…”

    LOL

Well, I shouldn’t warn Bob about trimming his whiskers…

I don’t think Rex wants me to have any part of making his human into a better cat.

Besides… the Monkey doesn’t like letting cats into the Tiki… including human cats…. though I’ve warned him about discrimination.

    I think that’s just a simian thing.

But just between you and me…. whoever is reading this…. cat whiskers are supposed to be long.

At least as long as the cat’s body is wide…. so they can judge the width of passageways and narrow openings… even front doors, in Bob’s case.

If he cuts them short, from a cat’s perspective, he might walk right into tight situation.

It’s been hot hot HOT here today…. I mean, Tuesday…. the third day in a row of 100° or more….

Monday was supposedly a few degrees hotter but today’s… er… yesterday’s… TUESDAY’S lack of a breeze made it get to me more.

(So confusing when I’m still up…. but the comics and the date are for tomorrow in my mind.)

Today, as in Wednesday, it starts to cool down…. but the 89° they’re predicting doesn’t do it for me….

and I’m supposed to go to the Wednesday night farmer’s market`in the evening.

So…. forgive me if I don’t join you for more Cleo discussion, please…

    I think I need to sleep in…. waaay in…. today….

If you’d all like to meet at my pie shop…. just say (not too loudly, please….) “Susan says please ring code 8692” to Marigold, the shop manager…

I’m leaving her a note right now, to tell her that’ll be a one-day passcode for your free piece of pie, and some coffee or tea.

I’ll join you Thursday, when the weather is supposed to be back to “normal,” if we even have one of those.

So, now there are two evil cats. One up the street and one next door. What is Cleo gonna do when they come in and start eating her kibble right in front of her?

There is a walking path in my neighborhood that has a bridge guarded by a cat who won’t let you pass until you pet him and give him ear rubs
