Good Morning Grog and Dry!Grog, thank you for the quickly thrown together breakie. It was just as quickly devoured. Sorry, I was so hungry, I just helped myself. Thank you!
You’re welcome, Grog.
Good morning, Carmy!
I got forked yesterday - I put spaghetti sauce (includes mozzarella cheese) on my hubby’s plate. Noticed that the cheese part was stringing down, and tried to use my hand to flip up the strings. My hubby also noticed the strings, and tried to use his fork to take care of them, but it intersected with my hand.
Grog - You’re right - it IS dangerous to get between a hungry person and their fork!
Good late morning everyone. Had my interview this morning they where running 10 min late themselves. Saw the stack they had it was scarry. What is going to hurt on my part is the edcuation. I tell my son he needs it to stalk shelves but he won’t and Walmart’s not hiring.

Yes, it must have been an evil robot. I have no knowledge of any incident that would require Grog* to stitch himself back together. {Shhh! Don’t tell him I just destroyed the evidence. (maniacal giggles)}
Oh, and sorry about the drive-by at high speed yesterday–everyone knows that the cops aren’t around on Sunday on the prairies–too much patrolling on Saturday nights. So Sunday is pretty much cop-free.
Bmonk - You might be right about those one-cop towns, but around here, speeding tickets are their bread & butter, so I still see plenty of cops running radar on Sundays.
Grog - Maybe it is her foreign spy? Back before the Iron Curtain fell, and I was a newlywed, my husband often asked “which Russian spy” I was that night. He just wasn’t used to someone who showed such a variety of personalities.
Oh the tragedy of it all. No comics so I got the brilliant idea to tear apart the washer and retrieve the diamond bracelet my %^$##^^ lover (whom I dearly love and don’t blame at all) somehow got stuck in said washer. After a short time, I decided I might need a little help, so I clicked it up on the computer. Did you know if the washer isn’t working you should plug it in? If the washer isn’t draining you may have a clogged hose. The manual suggested I call a repairman. I ain’t paying no stinkin repairman. I spent considerable money at the hardware store on tools I will never use. and the machine of Satan is still in pieces. Got to Google Jewelry.
Morning TRIBE! The sun is shining, the flowers blooming, the birds singing, and the Maytag repairman is finally employed
Lewreader - Having just bought a new washer a few weeks ago, due to our old one not draining, I can sympathise. I would think that the hose would get sluggish before it got completely clogged. At least I don’t have any diamond bracelets to lose, so that wasn’t an issue with ours.
bmonk, in Shika’s case when she says that she is “pulling a Shika” she’s gone, then comes back for one more comment (or two). When LuvH8 does her POPn’POOF, she comes in usually for one comment only and is gone - not to return for a while at least.
Okay, okay. I guess I am tired of being treated like my mental illness makes me incompetent and being expected to be responsible also. It seems “Don’t annoy the crazy person” only works for my mom & worked for my sister. I think I may have to be more scary.
Rmom ~ I think my diagnosis is “bipolar ~ we don’t know what the bleep kind though”
bmonk, until now I hadn’t heard of WFF’N & PROOF. I had to google it.
I would classify Lewreader & Johanan as they typical or (ab)normal POPn’ POOFers. Usually LuvH8 will POP in and after a while will POOF out. Then on occasion comes the POPn POOF all in one comment.
I don’t know, LuvH8. Does “bipolar eyes” (red/blue) count?
But really, being bipolar is no joke. I have a sister with it, only for her the median of her swings is being a little bit depressive. Not fun at all. Although having the right sort of humor does help a bit. The trick is knowing how to invite her to laugh.
LuvH8, I am not trying to make fun of you. However, I know I have pulled “a Shika” before (after refreshing and found I need to reply to a comment). Then there are times when almost everyone will “POP” in for one comment and be gone. I label it the POPn’ POOF in your honor.
No Bmonk not fun at all. And they have added a new name in for some of the ‘episodes’ which is mixed mania (manic and depressed at the same time ~ really not fun).

Hello EMET
I think I’m going to say good bye & good riddance to Nathan & In the Sticks. It was a good little strip before he started getting political.
If you want an exciting mix try a Nuclear CocoMocha Float. Umm….. just remember to wear tinted protective goggles. And be prepared for the explosion. Oh, and the resulting liquid is highly flammable and radioactive. So really after you go to all that trouble you are left with a mess and elevated radiation levels. But it is exciting. You don’t have heart problems do you?
I see that bipolar disorder (manic-depressive syndrome over the pond) has been mentioned here. No one of course meant any harm either in joking about it or in saying it’s a serious matter in response.
So, please bear with me here…
I happen to have bipolar disorder (Type II: short periods of mania, long periods of depression, with normal periods in between). I’m under treatment for it and thankfully it has stablized me completely. So long as I avoid needless stress, I’m fine.
I am not being melodramatic when I say the depressive part very nearly killed me. It made me suicidal. I pay a heavy price in health for the medication I take to keep that sort of thing from happening (it’s brought on weight gain, which in turn has brought on diabetes and other things), but it’s that or be six feet under after going through the torments of Dante’s Hell.
On the other hand, I’m enough of a screwball to laugh even at the ironies involved in the situation, so neither the jokes nor the serious comments heretofore bother me at all. I have no illusions about what the human condition is, and I have hope that it will not last forever.
Hi, Johanan. Sorry about the CocaMocha. It is on my permanent menu on my home computer. Being the first poster at the office took me by surprise…and I put something quick & dirty together.
♠Lonewolf♠ today, wasn’t too bad, but I found out I have to knock out a forecast by end-of-day Wednesday. We weren’t counting on having to do one until next month. Dallas is not giving us any lead time. So much for a calm & reasonably busy week.
Lewreader - Will metal recyclers take old washing machines? How about dryers? We’ve got a few that need hauling off around here, would be great if we got paid for them, instead of having to do the paying.
Grog - Humm, guess it is time to rummage up some supper. How about a ham & cheese sandwich on wheat, with a little onion, lettuce & mayo? Warmed would be even better.
Grog - Hope you don’t lose it! We were supposed to have partly cloudy today, but it was mostly cloudy instead. I went outside & worked for a while. But there was a low spot that still had water standing, in my path to the brush pile. I could walk around the low spot, but not drive the little lawn tractor, so had to carry the thorn branches rest of the way. Got most of the branches by one tree hauled there, and only a couple of scratches - neither one on my face. It was too humid to keep working for long, especially because I had to wear long jeans & a long-sleeved shirt with leather gloves to give me some protection from the thorns.
Johanan,
I am very glad to hear that you found medication that works for you. Sorry about the side effects though. And I know you are not being melodramatic. Your type sounds similiar to mine. I’m glad you don’t mind the humor. It is one of my main coping mechanisms.
I just remembered that I had seen you at Birdbrains, Ladywolf. You should comment more often. Just be sure to be offended occasionally or you will hurt Thom’s feelings.
No Cleo I don’t think first impressions are based on your outfit, if you are nude. I tend to notice someone’s feet if they are nude. (Unless it is related to direct care.)
Pretty good Lonewolf My work load has been pretty light today. I had to groom a couple of horses and fed them an apple, I also helped stack bales of hay in the barn, but really there was not a whole lot to do today.
Lonewolf My day was so-so. It got a little better after the drugs kicked in. Mainly I am trying to be left alone so I can not act on bad ideas.
Good Evening EMET
Um….. bipolar is slightly more than mood swings. Unfortunately it is not always practical or possible to avoid everyone. Laughter is good medicine.

WARNING ~ Jumper Ahead!
One day this lunatic was jumping up and down on a manhole cover screaming at the top of his lungs, “Seventeen!! Seventeen!!”
Intrigued by the man’s behavior, another man walks over to him and asks why he’s doing that.
The crazy man responded, “It’s a blast. You have to try it! Jump as high as you can and scream ‘Seventeen!!’ as loud as humanly possible.”
Reluctantly, the second man gets on the manhole cover, barely hops and says, “Seventeen?”
The insane man says, “No, no, no! You’re doing it wrong. Jump higher. Yell louder.”
So, the second man begins jumping a little higher and says, “Hey, you know, I am getting a little bit of a rush. Seventeen!! Seventeen!!”
At the height of his jumping, the crazy guy suddenly pulled the manhole cover off, causing the man to fall to his death.
Replacing the cover, the lunatic began jumping and screaming again, “Eighteen!! Eighteen!!”

Grog - Humm, guess it is time to rummage up some supper. How about a ham & cheese sandwich on wheat, with a little onion, lettuce & mayo? Warmed would be even better.
GROG Premium Member almost 14 years ago
Rmom, I found out about 2C&C about an hour ago.
Smiley Rmom almost 14 years ago

Rmom I have a roast beef, pepper ham and cajun turkey breast with pepper jack cheese and horseradish on a wheat hoagie bun.
I have enough for one more good sandwich, but no more roast beef.
I never did like mayo, but I do like Inglehoffer stone ground mustard. Yum.

Grog - Saw your comment there, but thought perhaps there were others who didn’t know.
Smiley Rmom almost 14 years ago
Grog - I can tell you like the hot stuff! I’m going to do supper & read, BBL.

Johanan, I am very glad to hear that you found medication that works for you. Sorry about the side effects though. And I know you are not being melodramatic. Your type sounds similiar to mine. I’m glad you don’t mind the humor. It is one of my main coping mechanisms.
Ooops! Premium Member almost 14 years ago
Hi Grog
It is very tempting. I am curious as to what you would look like with no hair or very short hair.
GROG Premium Member almost 14 years ago
Just picture me without the cowboy hat and a cue ball head with a bit of peach fuzz on top,
Ooops! Premium Member almost 14 years ago
So, how is your evening Grog? I’m working on picturing you.
GROG Premium Member almost 14 years ago
Good. As you may have seen, LuvH8, I dumped a strip today. I’m trying to remember what’s was recommended to me a little while ago to replace it.
GROG Premium Member almost 14 years ago
And watch my movie of course.

We are all glad that the comics finally updated.

ladywolf17 almost 14 years ago
Well I am somewhat new there. but I do comment there …… Sometimes!
Ooops! Premium Member almost 14 years ago
I just remembered that I had seen you at Birdbrains, Ladywolf. You should comment more often. Just be sure to be offended occasionally or you will hurt Thom’s feelings.
ladywolf17 almost 14 years ago

GROG Premium Member almost 14 years ago

serenasakitty almost 14 years ago
Hi and bye everyone. I’m off to work [I have to be] in a few minutes but I just wanted to see what was going on.
Grog you look too cute in LuvH8’s picture.
Time is passing so I’ll see everyone tomorrow.
Ooops! Premium Member almost 14 years ago
Is that better Grog? You know if you wore clothes normally, I wouldn’t have left them off when I shaved you.
Ooops! Premium Member almost 14 years ago
Hello & Good Bye Cleo & Serenasakitty

Ooops! Premium Member almost 14 years ago
Grog Your welcome, but I thought you looked fine before. Very…….. attractive.
ladywolf17 almost 14 years ago
So how was your day Lonewolf?
cleokaya almost 14 years ago
You guys and all your talk about clothes. My first movie turned out to be one that I had already watched. On to plan B. Nude is the way to go.
Ooops! Premium Member almost 14 years ago
But Lonewolf, Grog & Cleo normally run around without their pants. As do many of the other posters.
GROG Premium Member almost 14 years ago
Maybe around the house, cleo. But not in the public domain.
cleokaya almost 14 years ago
With nudity no first impressions are based on your outfit..

COWBOY7 almost 14 years ago
Well then, Hello once again, Cleo!
COWBOY7 almost 14 years ago
Ladwolf, my day was very busy. I had a lot of running around to do. Pretty much got it all done, I think.
How was your day?
GROG Premium Member almost 14 years ago
Family Guy just did their spoof of the Blues Brothers shopping center scene. Funny!
GROG Premium Member almost 14 years ago
Now it’s North By Northwest
COWBOY7 almost 14 years ago
And how was your day, LuvH8?
Ooops! Premium Member almost 14 years ago
No Cleo I don’t think first impressions are based on your outfit, if you are nude. I tend to notice someone’s feet if they are nude. (Unless it is related to direct care.)
ladywolf17 almost 14 years ago
Pretty good Lonewolf My work load has been pretty light today. I had to groom a couple of horses and fed them an apple, I also helped stack bales of hay in the barn, but really there was not a whole lot to do today.
Ooops! Premium Member almost 14 years ago
Lonewolf My day was so-so. It got a little better after the drugs kicked in. Mainly I am trying to be left alone so I can not act on bad ideas.
Good Evening EMET Um….. bipolar is slightly more than mood swings. Unfortunately it is not always practical or possible to avoid everyone. Laughter is good medicine.
COWBOY7 almost 14 years ago
Durned straight! Laughter is Great medicine!
GROG Premium Member almost 14 years ago
Hello, EMET
Well I’m going to call it a night. Gunite all! (Time to get nack-ed)
Ooops! Premium Member almost 14 years ago
On a bag of Fritos: You could be a winner! No purchase necessary. Details inside. (The shoplifter special!)
On Tesco’s Tiramisu dessert: (printed on bottom of the box) Do not turn upside down. (Too late! you lose!)
On Boot’s Children’s cough medicine: Do not drive car or operate machinery. (We could do a lot to reduce the construction accidents if we just kept those 5 year olds off those fork lifts.)
On Nytol sleep aid: Warning: may cause drowsiness. (One would hope!)
On a Korean kitchen knife: Warning: keep out of children. (hmm…something must have gotten lost in the translation…)
On a string of Christmas lights: For indoor or outdoor use only. (As opposed to use in outer space.)
On Sainsbury’s peanuts: Warning: contains nuts. (but no peas?)
On a child’s Superman costume: Wearing of this garment does not enable you to fly. (Oh go ahead! That’s right, destroy a universal childhood belief.)
