Good Night villagers. Hope I don’t miss you next time, but to warn you, I’m working late tomorrow night and away for the weekend at a convent for training.
bev, Sounded like a non stop freight train running through here for about oh 8 hours straight, a big piece of soffatt blew off the porch roof, big tree limbs everywhere, you can’t see the grass anymore, only solid leaves and branches, but compared to those living near the coast or streams and rivers, not too bad. And amazingly only lost our power for about 2 minutes I must say though, it has been QUITE A FEW YEARS since I saw rain coming down sideways instead of straight down, and even then, only saw it once. And that maple tree and birch tree both stayed in place!
bev clicked your version, went to the full length clip next. That young gentleman is AWESOME! Never heard that song before, either! Loved it! How did he fare in the finals? I never watch America’s Got Talent, I just wait for a link or email to find out who the truly talented ones are! :-D
Oh bev I live in sandals in the summer, ones with no “toe barriers” for lack of a better description! LOL!
Don’t know for sure where you are, but tmr. night ends DST.
Provided of course, that I can sleep and get the extra hour back I lost in the spring. (How the heck does that work, anywho? It never has made sense to me after all these years!)
(this was part of an email that I received from a relative, that is really quite interesting to watch. The following text accompanied it. Hope you enjoy it.)
“This is amazing.
Take a look at the girl in the bow of the canoe watching the aerial display. Two young ladies were out for a late afternoon canoe ride andfortunately one of them remembered to bring her video camera. Whatthey saw was a wonderful murmuration display, caught in the shortvideo…. Watch the variation of colour and intensity of the patternsthat the birds make in proximity to one other.
No one knows why they do it….yet, each fall, thousands of starlingsdance in the twilight above England and Scotland. The birds gather inshape-shifting flocks called MURMURATIONS, having migrated in themillions from Russia and Scandinavia to escape winter’s frigid bite.Scientists aren’t sure how they do it, either. The starlings’murmurations are manifestations of swarm intelligence, which indifferent contexts is practiced by schools of fish, swarms of bees andcolonies of ants. As far as I am aware, even complex algorithmicmodels haven’t yet explained the starlings’ aerobatics, which rely onthe tiny birds’ quicksilver reaction time of under 100milliseconds to avoid aerial collisions and predators in the giant flock.
Despite their tour de force in the dusky sky, starlings have declinedsignificantly in the UK in recent years, perhaps because of a declinein suitable nesting sites. The birds still roost in several ofBritain’s rural pastures, however, settling down to sleep (andchatter) after their evening ballet.”
I can’t imagine seeing it in person. As beautiful as it is to see, I’m afraid all I’d be thinking of is a “bird attack” a la The Birds. I don’t know if I could have kept my cool as well as the girl who did the video.
Stel and Number Three if IT meant what it said, it will be back! Stel on one strip, The Flying McCoys, it called someone a MOTHER FUC—— @ssh—-. Don’t buy into him and feel sorry for it, PLEASE!
Number Three went back and read your post to Stel. It also goes by Ryku some such, I forget the rest. You had to have read the posts here and there, but it is a TROLL or a REALLY SICK MINDED person. Either way, ignore him.
Go to Frog Applause and from the comments, click on the chicken to get to the blog. Then, over on the very right, you’ll see FA sightings and FA Childhood Photos . Both are what people have sent in to Teresa. I sent in to both. Number Six, beviek and many more that you’ll recognize are there.

You will notice that I am changing my habit here. I was reminded of my recent graduation from seminary and feel that my red hat was misleading.
Carry on villagers. I shall still remain faithful to you all. :-)

Eldo (I could go to the character map and find those fancy letters, but “AIN’T GOT NO TIME FOR DAT!” lol)
I sure have a lot of antsy action going on, don’t I? Perhaps I should provide a rest room for lemonhead and Charlotte Chicken! LOL

RE: Village Andy Capp…
I myself sound a lot worse than a duck gargling. I guess not everybody is cut out for singing…
If I could whistle then I would…. Another thing I can’t do.
LOL…

I haven’t worn “flip flops” in a long time. That “thingy” that goes between the toes, hurts and rubs my skin raw!

And Number Three, I don’t think it’s close to your age, not by some of the comments I have seen. Just be careful, Girl, okay?

Yes, Number Three , do consider that! I added mine the other day…
