How careless of the binoculars to break this easily !

A few merely incidental details….

Calvin you gotten so good with glue, so why not glue the binocular pieces back together.

So the thlot pickens.

Flayed alive. I’m picturing Calvin without skin. He would probably think it was a cool look.

He was probably swinging the binoculars around by the strap to see how high they would go. Centrifugal force and gravity are a fun combo.

Calvin, you blame yourself for breaking your daddy’s binocular.

There’s always more to the story than first comes out.

I know this kind of story line … got bitten by a dog…. , after I threw a stick at it…… , after I have been teasing it behind the fence…….. , for the last halve hour…… , every day, for the last year….. etc etc etc, until you have a very clear picture of who is guilty

Honestly, what was Dad thinking? I wouldn’t give my binoculars to Calvin until he was 37 and bonded.

Calvin, You should point out to Dad that he now has TWO monocles. And everyone knows that TWO is better than ONE. He’ll be so proud… You can call them Father and Son together-time visual aids!

Why not just throw the binoculars to the ground like spiking a football. It’d take less time to break ‘em.

I say this is Dad’s fault. :-) Why lend an expensive pair of binoculars to a six year old?

Yup, dad was the irresponsible one. What person in his right mind would lend Calvin anything that could break. For crying out loud, look at his track record.

It’s clearly dad’s fault. If he would of taught his little boy how to toss and catch binoculars like a good dad should, this would never have happened.

Add this to the list. Number one item is: Don’t run with scissors.

The theory being, if you throw the binocs up into the air you can get a bird’s eye view.

Ya gotta take a chance on ‘em, even if it is against your better judgement, and has the approximate chance of an icy projectile in an infernal region.

Listen to the average accident victim and you will hear them say that the accident was “totally unexpected” even though it often seems obvious to the outside observer that the victim’s own conduct made the result inevitable. Nearly everyone has 20-20 hindsight. the ability to accurately predict consequences BEFORE causality is a hallmark of advanced intellect.

calvin was trying to go through a time warp hoping to catch the binoculars in mid air, when accidentally on purpose they fell and broke

Ah, memories. For me it was mom’s expensive horse figurine (Calvin’s age) then her big beveled plate glass mirror (old enough to know better age). Sorry mom!

I don’t know why you’re all blaming Dad. Dad wasn’t the one throwing the binoculars up in the air. The excuse, “Because they were there” doesn’t work for me.

Oh I get it. Lefty’s to blame. He can’t catch anything.
