Impeaching officials for disagreement of policy? Is that the road the GOP really wants to go down? Maybe stick with what you “know”, like impeaching Hunter Biden?

Mayorkas is an inept scumbag that will go down as one of the worst cabinet members in history. The Republicans in the house however wasted their time on this impeachment fantasy, as they knew it would go nowhere in the Senate. It would be better to “impeach” Mayorkas this November, along with the rest of the Biden kakistocracy.

I wonder if the R’s can now empathize with the outrage of having the Senate Majority Leader unilaterally squash their intention, as Mitch did with the Garland nomination.

The new republican guy stupidly called for a vote and put an end to months of his crazy lying vicious republican party’s work. Then Raskin called out Comer who had no idea what to do.

Sending someone to trial with no detailed charges is pure stupidity. Think about it.

Seriously? First off, impeachment is a political action, not a criminal procedure. It has nothing to do with the justice system. Then there is the fact that Mayorkas was barely impeached. The first time they tried, the vote failed. There is no credible case against him, just politics that republicans lost.

Democrats just use the rules that are there the same as the Republicans did for scotus appointments and turn it down trumps to impeachments, clowns on both sides change the rules to fit their imperative ,nothing new

Senate Dems are cowards. They knew the House GOP had the goods on Mayorkas but didn’t like the optics of live TV coverage. This is a political exercise and not one of justice or truthfulness. The votes weren’t there for removal. No worries. All of O’Biden’s lackeys will be gone by January.

Would you like a little cheese with that whine? You didn’t mind that “two-tiered justice system” one bit when Republicans voted along party lines to acquit Trump for actual crimes.

I know this will come as a shock, but impeachment is for high crimes and misdemeanors, and they didn’t name any. Making decisions that right-wing nutjobs don’t like isn’t an impeachable offense.

They had about a much evidence against him as they had against Biden. ZERO. ZILTCH.

The House failed even to accuse him of a high crime or misdemeanor. So, Senate Democrats treated it with the EXACT SAME level of seriousness as did House Republicans.

Purely political impeachment you say? Now THAT’S funny! (Especially given the not 1 but 2 purely political impeachment of President Trump)

They impeached Trump over a phone call but let this Mayorkas guy go when he committed treason by leaving the border open.

Four-tiered justice system: 1. Minorities; 2. Average people; 3. Wealthy and corporations; 4. Orange Jesus.

Yes, two tiers: guilty and innocent. No matter how outraged you are that they impeached your guy FOR CAUSE, you can’t then randomly impeach someone else when there’s NO EVIDENCE. (Well, you can, but don’t expect anything to happen.)

The GOP have been screaming “Open Borders!” since Biden’s inauguration, then acted surprised when migrants desperate enough to make the crossing started heading towards the borders. Then Speaker Johnson deliberately buried the bipartisan border bill because Trump didn’t like it. Finally, Speaker Johnson is now pushing separate funding bills for Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan and is facing a removal threat from fellow House Republicans over Ukraine funding in particular. He now needs the Democratic minority in the House (which has gained a few seats after the special elections in NY and FL) for him to keep the Speaker’s gavel. Should Johnson keep the gavel after this, maybe he should bring the border bill up for a vote in the House. But likely, the GOP in general (and the Freedom Caucus in particular) will continue to devour their own.

Did we see the exact same comic when Trump ‘got away’ from his impeachment???
