Just as the radical, broken gop loves the Jim Crow era, it also loves Comstock laws. Shameful.

The abortion issue isn’t even about abortion. The real point is that if they can take away a right that has been in place for over fifty years, what rights are they coming after next?

Conservatives are the ones who want to dictate total control over private relationships (dictate who you can or can’t marry or even what behavior is allowed behind closed doors), private medical choices (reproductive choices such as abortion, IVF or contraception, medical or recreational marijuana, end of life choices, stem cell therapies, gender-identity care), tell us what books we or our children can have access to, or try to force PRIVATE religion into PUBLIC policy and religious rituals into public meetings or subsidize it with special tax advantages (socialized religion).

One of the main reasons why there are time zones at all probably results from the building of railroads in the 19th century. That sort of rapid travel over long distances necessitated some sort of time standard as a means to help avoid killing off the railroads paying clientele with fatal accidents owing to time of day confusion. It helped commerce in other ways as well; it even made it possible for riders (and shippers, for that matter) to get to the depot on time.

If they didn’t enforce the law before Row v Wade, they don’t need to enforce it now, unless they want to.

It’s not about babies. Embryos aren’t babies. Neither are zygotes or fetuses. You know what is a baby? A baby. The standard? Viability. Who manages this? Women and their health care providers. Everyone else should just but out. And anything else on this issue is just religious noise.

FOX “News”, of course, blames the Democrats who have the Governor and AG and many members of the legislature. Naturally, they omit the fact that the Republican-majority legislature blocked two bills repealing the 1864 law.

Diane Lee is exactly correct. Of course, the GOP tries to convince everyone that it’s the Dems who are trying to take away rights and are ruining our country; it’s just the opposite.

We gave Conservatives the power to change laws, we can take it back. Elections are next November. You know what to do….
