    I imagine he’s trying to come up with a way to claim credit for the eclipse, or at least get a proto op.

    May he pass into obscurity faster than the eclipse.

    Several of these with the orange face eclipsing (whatever the artist thinks of) yesterday and today. The one I liked best was similar to this, eclipsing the torch of liberty, but a different artist and more emphasis on the path of the shadow.

    Donnie and the Republicans. Doing their darnedest to guarantee a massive Democratic landslide. Keep up the good work, guys.

    It isn’t just the trump that will gleefully destroy our democratic republic. The rest of the republican party will do so, at the behest of our Billionaire-Investor class. Again (ad naseum) I suggest that, if you are intetrested, get a copy of William Shirer’s epic historical account “The Collapse of the Third Republic”, and read CHAPTER 11: DECLINE-Political & Finacial chaos, and the Poincare recovery. What happened in France before the Second World War is just what is occuring today in America.

    I also compare Perp45 to the situation in Baltimore. He’s the superheavy ship which lost critical functioning, took out key components of U.S. democracy, and the cleanup is complicated.

    The thing is that an eclipse only lasts a few minutes and the sun comes out again. trumps, umm.. darkness ? will last a long time.

    Leftists are certain of a Cadaver Joe landslide in November. What’s the worry about?

    Republicans have to lie and cheat any way that they can or they will cease to exist. Voter suppression is just one of their methods.

    In phone surveys, when people are given a choice on issues that affect their daily life, taken from both Republican and Democratic Party publications, those who identify themselves as Democrats agree with the Democrats about 80% of the time. Independents do too, about 58% of the time. The weird thing is that 42% of Republicans agree with the Democratic positions too, unless they are told which is which. Then they fall into line and agree with the Republicans 78% of the time. People who identify as Republicans make up somewhere between 30% and 42% of the voters, depending on the year. It’s currently way down. 78% of 42% is 33%.

    The Republicans would never win another national election with those odds. So, the Republicans have to keep as many people who they suspect will vote Democratic from voting as possible, and keep the rest of them confused enough to vote against their own best interests.

    In other action,

    “The House Freedom Caucus has long hammered Republican speakers, and some of its members even helped oust one. That includes the group’s leader — who’s now imploring the new Republican speaker for help saving his seat.

    It gets more awkward from there. Rep. Bob Good (R-Va.) is asking Speaker Mike Johnson for assistance. But as allies to former Speaker Kevin McCarthy vividly remember, the ex-GOP leader spent $2 million to help Good win in 2020, only to watch the conservative rebel help toss McCarthy overboard three years later.

    The embattled Good now wants Johnson’s endorsement and a pledge not to help his primary opponent, who’s trying to turn support for former President Donald Trump into a wedge issue with the base. Good’s challenger is a major threat to the second-term Freedom Caucus chief’s future in Congress — and as center-right colleagues gang up on him, help from Johnson and his allies could be a major boon." – FOX

    IMHO:

    Good = BAD

    Dump the “Leader” of the House “Freedom” Cock-up!

    We live in a constitutional republic, not intended to be Mob Ruled as the Democrats and half the Republicans seem to promote…and half the population have been fooled into thinking is a good thing.
