I know Phoebe has seen a picture of Ethan at her age. So that’s not the roadblock.

At first I was about to point out that Phoebe had already met him as a kid when she time-traveled, before I realized the “six foot kid with a beard” comment sounded familiar. Then I looked at the date, saw it was three years earlier, and realized this was a rerun of that story.

Phoebe: Sometimes I can barely believe he didn’t just go by dad all his life.

I have to admit that I have never been able to imagine my dad as a kid. The oldest pictures I have of him are as a technical sergeant in Korea when he was in his early 20s. I guess his childhood was growing up during the depression and then being a teen during WWWII so photography probably was on the back burner in his family.

Ethan =is= a six-foot kid with a beard.

Didn’t Phoebe meet her dad at that age during the time travel arc?

There’s lots of perspective that kids just don’t have.

So…basically the same as he is now, then. :P

Any kid who can buy beer without getting IDed is definitely popular at camp.

Even today, when someone’s had a beard for as long as I’ve known them, I have trouble picturing them without one.

I knew this seemed really familiar, than I saw the strip date is 2021.

When I was Phoebe’s age I separated grownups into two groups, the ones who remembered what it was like to be a kid and the ones who didn’t.

Is this a rerun?
