having a very bad day today. i got an email form the teacher telling me she can no longer add me to the class that she was going to add me to. then i got one form the chem teacher telling me the same thing. then i got my test back and i made an 36 F on it i woke up this morning with a bad headache one of those dizzy headaches and i don’t feel good think i’m getting sick, my throught is sore. and its just been c r a py day all day so far. what am i to do? well i need to get out of here and go meet my friend see how the rest of the day goes. love you guys. i just needed to vent sorry about the long post and craziness of it. you guys are great i never want to push you away so you can tell me to shut up any time u want to. and i would understand. love ya peace and love tribe.

Good afternoon. I apologize for interrupting the fun here at the Big Top page, and I’ll try to make this as quick as possible so you can get back to doing what you do.

As a GoComics moderator I wanted to let the posters here know that several users on the site, including one or two known to post regularly here on the Big Top page, have mounted a flagging campaign against a user whose comments they have characterized as “boring, rambling, irrelevant, and having little or nothing to do with the comic they are posted under.” While nothing in that description is a violation of the user agreement, these users would like to see this person’s posts removed from the site.

I offer this information because if a precedent is set with this poster, ALL users and comments sections would be held to the new standard, unfortunately resulting in the removal of 90% or more of the posts and/or users on the Big Top page, as these comments are often “boring, rambling and irrelevant” to any non-“Tribe” user, and certainly have little or nothing to do with the Big Top comic itself. We do receive complaints about the Big Top comments section, and the fact that the users here are not specifically violating the user agreement is the reason why your posts remain.

If you are one of the users engaging in the flagging campaign, please keep this in mind. There is no point in flagging the posts of a user whose use of the site in no way violates the user agreement (it just rubs you the wrong way). Please keep in mind that if a new posting precedent were to be established, you would be held to the same standard, and then this fun site would be no fun at all for anyone.

Again, I apologize for jumping in here with such a downer of a post, but this is an important issue, especially as it concerns the folks who post here at Big Top.

Just for the sake of clarification, I offered the post above with the intention of helping the flaggers see why we’re not going to change the way we administer the site. The user who is being campaigned against isn’t going anywhere, nor are any of his posts. We’re not going to shut that user down, and we’re not shutting this page down, as long as no one is violating the user agreement.

I just find it very odd that any posters here would flag a user for essentially doing what they themselves do here and on other pages on GoComics (i.e. Overboard, Pibgorn, etc.), and I hope the people who’ve been flagging that user will see why they should just stop.

We have been getting rain everyday for awhile now. It is getting old, these gray, soggy days. But, that is the PNW at this time of year.

Cleo, last night I did not have pool. I just didn’t feel well again, so I tried to turn in early. wouldn’t you know it I was up at the turnover again & doing breakfast. I just missed Dry even! Oh well, I tried to go to sleep early!

Tonight I am supposed to go to pool. I don’t feel that bad physically, but mentally is another issue. And the team captain has already called to make sure I’m coming becaise they have an excellent shooter on the other team.

I think that it is cool that Thom is going to send Doc the original. Doc, have it matted and framed and be sure that they use archival mats. It is very important if you want to keep it for years, as pristine as it is today.

As a photographer, I know what non archival mats can do to a print.

Oh who could forget that wonderful puppet series from the mid-sixties? I was starting my second year of elementary school when that series began! Any here remember that shows’ opening countdown?!

I know who Liam is talking about, and the posts don’t bother me a lick. In fact, I’ve learned a few things from him along the way. If his post doesn’t look too interesting, I skip it. He has suffered some sort of head trauma, and it most likely has affected the way he views social boundries. That said, he’s not mean, not is he hurting anyone.

MoPar - The Fabulous Thunderbirds are great but not puppets, which is what the strip is we were referring to. However, booth Jimmie and Stevie sure could play the guitar. I saw Stevie in Seattle a few months before he died. He brought Jimi Hendrix’s dad on stage and we all gave a standing ovation.

MoPar I always heard them called ‘The Fabulous Thunderbirds’.

I said that the Thunderbirds were a strip, I meant TV show featuring puppetry. It was a cool show.

I have no Bucket List. I have trouble enough keeping track of a grocery list. But I did live an amazing experience, A cruise with scientists and astronomers and others from Genoa Italy, down the coast of Italy, visiting all of the historic ruins, such as Pompey, into Egypt to visit the pyramids, on to Libya to visit Leptis Magna, then into the Libyan desert to see a total eclipse of the sun.

Oh-oh. I hate to tell you, but the sirens are here. It seems to be on the otherside of the building beside me, on a major street.

Congrats Doc! Good evening, tribe. I’ve been having major headaches with my internet connection. We have to keep rebooting the router. What’s weird is that not everyone on our LAN loses the internet, just one of us. For a while it was my youngest son’s computer, the last few days, it has been mine. I had to wait until my geek son made it home from his classes today, to get it back up. He’s had to reboot it several times just this evening. (Something about “static”) So, if any of you computer geeks out there have got a clue, I’d be open to hearing your thoughts. We bought a new router this weekend, hoping that would fix the problem. Obviously, it didn’t. We get our high-speed via an antenna on our roof, that can see the tower (about 3 miles away).
