“I will cut holes in these rent-a-potties, therefore destroying them, leading to me being SUED by their owners!” “Gramps says we’ll be inbred idiots! SQUIIIILL!!”
Any attempt to view any given eclipse is a crapshoot. From planning a site, to setting equipment ready, watching the weather, avoiding hucksters & gougers (looking at you, major motel chains!), having plans B, C, & D road routes in case a chase is necessary to get out from under the weather, etc, etc, etc…
Had good luck in ‘17 & got a great view, but had to drive about 100 miles to get out from under clouds on eclipse day. Fingers crossed for monday, but the weather isn’t looking promising.
The partial eclipse will last over two hours. In the path of totality, the total eclipse will only last up to 4 minutes…….purty much like a wedding or funeral!

A multitasking booth. Don’t forget the Poof.

Ed is well-versed in the use of “private viewing booths,” from the year that the Valentine Theatre was a bitty tar.

Don’t you think that the porta pot people would be a bit upset that you’re going to destroy their rental units by cutting holes in the top,

I think you’re overreaching yourself, Ed.

I’m guessing he needs a permit from the city, which he probably doesn’t have, and his whole thing will get shut down.

That’s it for me. I’ll wait until this particular set of the comic strip is over.

Any profit Cranky makes will go towards restoring the front lawn, which will be trampled into oblivion by thousands of strangers.

Here in San Antonio, the mass of people expected, Ed’s ideas would really work. Not to sure about the port-a-pots though.

Friend in Iowa City had Port-a-Potties for her yard parking customers on game days.

1) Where did he get the “money” to pay for all this stuff? (Does Scenterville even have a bank?)
2) And when / how was it delivered? Why didn’t we see that happening?
3) And what is he going to do with all that stuff after the eclipse? I doubt that the town dump is big enough to hold it all.
4) Oh, right. “It’s a cartoon.”

The clouds are going to block the view anyway.

Cranky its either gonna rain or snow on your big day. Mother Nature is not easily made fun of while someone else profits.
