A friend of mine was the sandals with socks sort, but I kept my mouth shut about it for a very long time. Finally, I broke down and asked him about it. He simply said, “No one should ever have to look at a man’s bare feet.”, and you know what? He’s exactly right. It was at this point I started wearing water shoes down to the beach. I too have gnarly man feet.
I dunno, I previously took delight in the playful imagination and subtle sociopolitical content of this strip. Now it seems to have jumped the shark. This is so ‘Forrest Gump.’ Although bizarre, it’s not very original or entertaining.
I genuinely dislike posters who try to direct or influence storylines, but here I am. (…..sigh…..)
Verne, have you considered actually getting down to RJ and Hammy’s level to try and explain these things to them in a way that they actually understand?
Someone recently asked for a list of all the jobs I had worked. I had to think a while. I’ve done everything from pick tobacco to designing power utility control sytems. I realized I finally had retired because I had become too overqualified to work. :)
Okay, would somebody please explain to me why socks with sandals is a bad thing. Keeping in mind that I have never owned a pair of sandals, and probably wouldn’t wear them even if I did.
A ginger cat, yes, however not in the window, asleep on the 3rd shelf from the floor, having pushed several books aside, in the Philosophy section of our campus bookstore.

Did the bookstore have a cat in the window? They all should.
