How is this analogy even remotely relevant? How many cheeseburgers did $2 trillion dollars in tax cuts buy? How many cheeseburgers could 3 GOP-sponsored, unfunded wars buy?

At least Biden is proposing to spend money that benefits ALL Americans and not just the top 1% who rarely go off to die in the wars the GOP loves.

Congress passes budgets, beginning in the Republican House. Start with cutting welfare for the wealthy. Compared to the gross domestic product, the budget looks small.

Speaking of spending. Trump has now taken over the RNC, and under his orders, the RNC has laid off dozens of staff members. The mass layoffs, eight months before a national election, have Republicans across the country alternating between very, very worried and terrified. In a national election year, you need to add staff to handle all the aspects of a national campaign. A former RNC manager who requested anonymity pointed out that Trump’s firing of staff who would have been used to support Republican candidates around the country. Now, Trump intends to use the money saved from salaries for himself and his countless legal issues, not for the presidential campaign.

Well, Al. It seems you should get your own house in order before you begin lecturing President Biden on spending proposals. After all, how smart was it for you to hand your party to a Con Man who isn’t even trying to hide the grift anymore?

Trump tariffs Trump’s tariffs are equivalent to one of the largest tax increases in the U.S. in decades.  Studies have found that Trump’s tariffs reduced real income in the United States, as well as adversely affecting U.S. GDP.  Some studies also concluded that the tariffs adversely affected Republican candidates in elections.[

EFFECT OF TRUMP’S TAX CUTS  Trump’s tax cuts helped billionaires pay less than the working class for first time

Economists calculate richest 400 families in US paid an average tax rate of 23% while the bottom half of households paid a rate of 24.2%Dominic Rushe in New York

They were billed as a “middle-class miracle” but according to a new book Donald Trump’s $1.5tn tax cuts have helped billionaires pay a lower rate than the working class for the first time in history. In 2018 the richest 400 families in the US paid an average effective tax rate of 23% while the bottom half of American households paid a rate of 24.2%, University of California at Berkeley economists Emmanuel Saez and Gabriel Zucman calculate in their new book, The Triumph of Injustice.Taxes on the rich have been falling for decades. In 1960 the 400 richest families paid as much as 56% in taxes, by 1980 the rate had fallen to 40%. But Trump’s tax cuts – his most significant legislative victory – proved a tipping point

Trump added 8.4 trillion dollars to the national debt when he was President. Why didn’t Republicans consider that to be a problem?

Because an orange RINO blob did that. The GQP finds no problems with any evil done by their new god. If it is good for America they will fight to quash it.

The US is ranked only 18th in the world in per capita government spending.

Our problem is taxation. We rank 53rd in the world in terms of per capita tax burden.

Biden keeps trying to work for the middle class and not the richest 1%. That money needs to go to the wealthy. Good job, Al. The 99% that makes up the rest of the Americans need to know their place.

So to put it into perspective, he made two conversions? Into burgers, and then converted the burgers into Empire State Buildings? And yet he still wound up with a difficult-to-perceive quantity. That’s a mistake — if you do two conversions, you lose people. It’s hard to grasp these huge quantities, but with two conversions, which still winds up with a difficult-to-perceive quantity, it doesn’t end up with something that makes sense. Maybe Randall Munroe could do an update of his “Money” chart from 2011. >

Fast facts on interest costs in Biden’s budget:

Net Interest on the federal debt would average a jaw-dropping $760 PER MONTH per American household over the next 10 years!

That’s quite the monthly credit card bill.

The debt would reach roughly $370,000 per household in FY 2034 and we’d spend 25% more on net interest than on the entire department of defense.

Now we know how many holes it takes to fill the Albert Hall…

This cartoon is a STUPID analogy to bring up on this, the fourth anniversary of the declaration of a national emergency during the COVID pandemic. And we had a CLUELESS so-called “President” with ZERO empathy – and who is even more insane now and is vying to destroy our country.

Or don’t you remember? A million lives later in this country, alone?

Then again, when all else fails and “conservatives” who have NO EMPATHY WHATSOEVER are politically on the ropes , trot out the old “Fiscal Responsibility” trope and keep fudging on with the mud-slinging, rotten vomitus.

There’s only so many ten-dollar hamberders DJT can squeeze out of his MAGA burger-flippers, so, as convicted fraudster Steve Bannon said in disgust “He’s on the take.”

Yup, and now Bud Lite is totally ok to drink, after Anheuser-Busch sponsored a $10k per plate “fund raiser” for the fat-cat oligarchs.

And suddenly he opposes the ban of Tik Tok, after oligarch Yap paid him a visit to Mar a Lardo. ANd his cronies and family are raiding the RNC, crippling the down-ballot races for 2024. The carny barker is still at work, but milking his oligarch pals.

Gee, I wonder how many ten-dollar MAGA burgers Mr. Goodwyn donated?
