Dedicated to Guard Dog from “Mutts”, now on his way to a better life. ☺♥

    To our Rescued Pets

There’s no need to flinch when I lift my hand

No need to cower each time I stand

No need to run when I come near

No need to tremble and be prey of fear

You can sleep with your sweet eyes peacefully shut

There’s no reason to jump every time you wake up

This good food is yours to be eaten in Peace

No more need to fight for it, hope your fear soon will cease

You won’t have anymore to lie on a bare floor

My beds and my sofas are yours to explore

You won’t have to sit out in cold weather and rain

My House is your Shelter, your new pleasant Domain

I cannot erase the memories and fears

I can’t compensate for all those wasted years

All I have are the things that you here now can see

But I give you them all and I give you Me

I give you my Arms to comfort and to hold

I give you this voice for the joys you’ll be told

I give you my Heart, my Love and my Soul

Hope this will be enough, and our Lives will be whole

So what I am getting is that she always pushed him out from the other side of that door but has actually come though it and is now stuck outdoors. Loading docks I have experienced are roughly 4 ft high; at the level that the floor of box trucks and trailers are at the same level. Annie should be able to climb down to ground level and circle back around to an entrance back inside. Not as scary hopeless as the illustration makes it look. LOL !

No worries. Annie can go around and let herself in the front door.

Always good to learn something… Happy to read Mutts has some new followers, I have followed it since the beginning. Gift yourselves one of Patrick’s classic collections, he is an amazing artist and activist.

Our local Newspaper had an article on the Front Page with the headline Dog Freed! So we wernt the only ones rejoicing. It went on to say the cartoonist was tired of drawing sad stories about him, and decided to end it in the best possible way. And as an awareness about dog cruelty.

Oops! How are they going to get back inside? Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like Chesney will ever learn anything, or be a good boy either. Still, you can’t blame Annie for trying. on another note, saw four varied thrushes and four juncos while out walking today.
