So you’ve been named, Edgar. What unusual pet name do you know of? That aren’t people’s names. I had three: Fondue, a fully dark brown chihuahua, Beans, for a three colored chihuahua which is a Mexican breed – tan (pinto beans), black ( black beans) and white (white beans) and my favorite dog, Gay. She was such a happy dog I just had to name her Gay. You’d be surprised how many people didn’t know Gay is also a word that means happy. Geez. She was a Yorkie and the longest living dog I had – she reached a ripe old age of 18.

Just a question about the story line. I remember they had to put Farley down, and got a new dog afterwards. Has something changed with this rounds of reruns??

My dogs names were: Snoopy, Gretchen, Brandi, Lady, Saylor, and now Stormy who’s seven years old. All of my dogs were beautiful souls. Lady was 10 when the dog food was poisoned back in the early 2000’s and Saylor was 10 and died from cancer. Those two were my favorite dogs. I still miss them.

Having gotten a new puppy in Jan(born Dec 16 2022)to replace our puppy mill rescue(long hair chihuahua mix) I can attest to the fact that puppies love to chew. Our puppy, a female Rat Terrier named Ruby, loved to chew wires. We had to puppy proof the whole house and continue to discover items we forgot(or thought were puppy proofed)like lamps, our phone chargers, kindle chargers and 1 electric blanket that she was able to reach. Now over 1 year old she doesn’t chew as much, but boy howdy is she quick. We used to have lots of rabbits on the back yard, our old dog ignored them and they pretty much ignored us in turn, but after Ruby got to be about 6 months old, she started chasing them, at first they could lose her by quickly changing directions and ducking under the wood fence, but then she actually caught one-briefly-then got closer and closer every time she got after one, after about a month they abandoned our back yard and have not been back. One of our friends has been training dogs since 1985 and taught her to play catch with a fribee, which took her only about an hour, so we spend about an hour every day playing catch the frisbee which wears her out much more than taking her for a walk

Went with my roommate to his gay club in LA centuries ago before AIDS – everyone was dancing, smiling and laughing – he turned to me saying, and this is why they call us gay!

Looks like their artist is having a problem drawing Mike’s mustache. It keeps changing shape depending on which way he’s facing. Tricky thing those mustaches.

Elly needs to apply the newspaper method of discipline: You take a newspaper, roll it up, and hit yourself on the head while chanting, “I forGOT to WATCH my DOG!” five times.

I bought a dog the other day. I named him Stay. It’s fun to call him. “Come here, Stay! Come here, Stay!” He went insane. Now he just ignores me and keeps typing. He’s an East German Shepherd.

I got a new dog. He’s a paranoid retriever. He brings back everything because he’s not sure what I threw him.

I put contact lenses in my dog’s eyes. They had little pictures of cats on them. Then I took one out and he ran around in circles.

I spilled spot remover on my dog. He’s gone now.

I took my dog for a walk, all the way from New York to Florida. I said to him “There, now you’re done.”

The other day, I was walking my dog around my building, on the ledge. Some people are afraid of heights. Not me, I’m afraid of widths.

When our first two dachshunds were very young, a commercial came on for the DVD of 101 Dalmations while I was looking at the Home & Garden section of the Denver Post. My wife commented, “They don’t talk about 101 chewing puppies.” “They don’t talk about it,” I replied, showing her a picture of a beautiful mansion, “but before the puppies got there Hell Hall looked like this.”

OK, stand by, this hits my penchant for unusual names. Cats we’ve had: BC (for Body Contact, she was a cuddler, or Bag Cat cuz she was found with a baloney bag stuck on her head), CK (Creamsicle Kitty, orange and white), Goblin (black and orange torti, no white), Kink (tail broken in two places about a door’s width apart). Dogs we’ve known: Askim (What’s his name?…..), DeeOHgee (D.O.G.). A steer raised for beef: Sir Loin. People: Gay Ness, Jack Lumber, Candy Barr, Whip Nutley.

When I was a kid I had a cat named Sparkles because of her blue eyes. When we adopted a stray orange tom cat my brothers insisted we name him Farkles from the family in the old Rowan and Martin’s Laugh-In tv show.
