No, Congress does not need a timeout. Americans need to elect adults, not childish egomaniacs.

Only the Republicans. They need to be sent to their rooms until they learn to grow up and govern, say in about 20 years or so.

Congress needs an enema. Get rid of the “Freedom” Caucus and that ilk and things will work again.

Ramirez is painting with a very broad brush because he can’t be honest and admit to the truth. It’s not the entire Congress Ramirez, it’s the House of Representatives which is controlled by your Republican children. Unable to get their way the Chaos Caucus voted against a procedural move, took their football and went home until after Thanksgiving.

Timeout from what. They only work one or two days a week.

A time out’s not the answer.. reform school for the lot of them.

People, Congress reflects the voters who elect the representatives and senators. Poorly educated voters are the problem because they are not fulfilling their duty as citizens. If you want a better Congress, elect better representatives and senators. And presidents, too, while we’re at it.

Most of this Republican majority Congress has been in time out since it was sworn in.

It took 15 votes for Republicans to elect a Speaker, and it turns out they didn’t want him after all. Then it took another three weeks to eliminate several candidates and settle on another one they didn’t want. And then, they could not keep the government open without substantially keeping the agreement the original, temporary Speaker made and they hated.

And they have done NOTHING.

NOTHING!

Their ONLY effort has been to try to implicate Hunter Biden in something related to his father. Even there, they had to trash their own ‘witnesses’.

Every time Republicans reveal their own incompetence and inability to govern, Ramirez and all the other right wing cartoonists produce cartoons that blame “Congress” for that incompetence.

They would certainly blame the Democratic Senate for all the military promotions that are being blocked by a Republican if they thought they could get away with it.

If they gave the Entire GQP caucus, both Senate And House, the country would be back on its feet financially within 2 terms tops; likely 1 term would suffice. And the ‘social’ programs such as Education and Health and Social Security programs would All be fully funded. The obstructionism of the GQP costs America more than even the billionaires do.

They’ve been trying to undo FDR’s legacy since he first got it passed. And they will Keep trying until erased from the political scene and relegated to the dustheap of history. On Nov. 5, 2024, Vote Blue!

The whole country needs a timeout, thanks to Biden. The “great unifier” has caused more division among our citizens than anyone before. Thanks, dem’s. We’ll see you at the voting booth next Nov.
