yeah no twist to this arc now ig. arturs gonna win. the only difference now is that maybe daphne might comfort him? would be nice if nate got some actual support for once, instead of just gripping about artur by himself. the only character who ever tried to make nate feel better about artur is dee dee

The silence between both of them is so loud xD

This is the point where Daphne turns around and says “Well, I certainly hope that drawing of a bobcat does claw up your face- before I get to it, at least! Your face could use a rearranging!”

At least, that’s what I would do. I’m savage and deranged tho- and Daphne seems at least somewhat sane (judging by the whopping three times we’ve seen her the past 3 months)

Yay! Another strip with Daphne!

Aw, I love how supportive she is here! No words even, yet she’s attentive and focused on Nate and his art- and feels so bad at Nate’s crushing sadness. So sweet! Can’t wait to see what happens the rest of this week; I have a strong feeling Daphne will be key in how this arc ends, for better or worse!

I’m definitely seeing this leading up to Daphne comforting Nate, how sweet! Love this build up, so far awesome arc

Maybe Daphne can help motivate Nate to not quit making his bobcat drawing, but it’s still obvious who will win

I see a REAL sweet point within this arc which is yet to come. That, and my profile picture on the front or rear cover of the yearbook.

Plot twist: they wanted a cartoon bobcat to match the mascot suit and Artur can’t draw cartoons.

Until he picks up a Christopher Hart book and learns overnight. But it’s a Christopher Hart book so it looks awful.

I’m seconding Arbitrary’s plot twist. Its plausible. But even if theres no twists to this week’s arc lets just hope its not gonna be like last year’s knitting arc, that was a pain and went on way too long

Okay, now we’re cooking! I too, like many comments here, get the feeling we might be building up to an emotional moment at the very least, even if Nate doesn’t win.

Look at Daphne’s faces! At her care! At her ability not to be rude, sarcastic or dismissive of Nate’s feelings! Who thought anyone in this strip still had that?

10\10 and I’m nit even joking. Great punchline that seems to finally mock the Artur is perfect gag, and actual humanity from a character. Plus, Daphne. Love it!

Just go full cartoon mode and you might get on a page not the cover but hey good enough

I just remembered it was an Artur arc that finally made me snap and created an oc just to be Nate’s friend because I was tired of him always being beaten down, lmao

Don’t worry, Nate: for a year book cover the drawing is not needed to perfect, many students should identify, so it could even be comic. how come its a bobcat ?

Also, i know its a joke but seeing Nate rip his drawing in half is really sad! :(

Seriously, why does it happen EVERY SINGLE TIMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!! I can’t take it anymore constantly Artur good, Nate bad. What did Nate do to be spit on by the entire school. The teachers don’t do anything, in fact encourage this act. Please L.P, just let Nate beat him.

I’m loving Daphne’s character here. She’s actually being supportive of Nate and genuinely concerned for his emotional well-being. Take notes, Francis- this is what a true friend looks like.

9/10, Daphne looks genuinely concerned in the last panel. I really hope Nate wins! Remember the Sunday where Nate compared romance to baseball? This is kinda like he described it!

This competition is starting to heat up

“Just like a photograph” does not make it artistic or even a good fit for the yearbook cover.

Strip rating: 5/10 Daphne is here as just a side character. But Nate being upset like this is low-key funny.

It’s always funny when off screen characters describe something we can’t see with insane exaggerated descriptions so 7/10

I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I almost cried when I saw yesterdays strip. The Creator heard our prayers, and he answered them. (By Creator I just mean Lincoln Pierce, of course, but I wonder if there were some people who were actually praying to God for daphne to come back Lol)

I hope Daphne can explain to Nate that photorealism doesn’t mean Art. After all, Picasso changed art forever with cubism, not with the blue or pink period.
