I remember this day. She went from the wise-eyed innocence (ala Boopsie) to the eyes of her mother. Cleverly handled by Trudeau.

Those two should be wearing hats to protect their heads from the cold and snow.

Don’t worry, Mike, she actually turns out to be the smartest and most stable character in the entire strip.

Its true. I taught Sunday School to kids her age; and when the girls spoke to me, their eyes were just eyes; but when they spoke to the boys, they sparkled.

Okay Doonesbury, I get it Alex is growing up, but did her eyes need to change from wide eyed to the half opened Doonesbury norm? and in one strip from panel two to panel four?
