I didn’t like some readings on my last blood test and I thought the doctor wouldn’t either. Turns out the important ones were very good and she wasn’t worried about the others as she said they were not that big a deal as they weren’t that accurate. That was a relief.
My last blood test showed not good readings on a couple of measures of renal health. We re-tested 3 weeks later. In the meantime, I hydrated better, cut my blood pressure med in half, and took a lower dose of my pantaprozole (for ulcers). From the retest, we know my kidneys are fine. However, our experimental design was not so good so we can’t tell which variable caused the scores to improve. As they say in Spain, the “parade of organs” continues.
I’ve been borderline diabetic for about 8 years. It just stays the same. Cholesterol has jumped so now taking medication for it. Blood pressure increased about 4 years ago have been taking medication for it. The only problem I have is remembering to take the medicine. Yes I do have a daily pill box. I just hate pills.

At some point you have to say “F” it, because a lifetime of living can’t be be significantly altered by changes near the end. I’ll drink to that!
