huh…first comment today. I didn’t see that coming. Anyway, just wanted to say hi to everyone…I’ve been reading this site for a while and decided that I wanted to start talking. I thought the Cathy board seemed like a good place, since you Cathyites seem like a pretty nice, civil group :)

I agree with you Susan Newman – not the right title for the shop! I like those machines where you can print out your own photos immediately, we have one at our local drugstore.

    Good morning everyone!

I like those machines too Bronzepony and I use self checkout at the library. If I could do everything myself I would. Cathy is right on this one, if I were her I’d take my pictures elsewhere.

is this a rerun of a 1980’s strip?

If she wants to exercise her ‘social power’, she needs to take her money elsewhere. And then start a smear campaign on every review site, plus Facebook.

I own a Photo Lab in NJ called The Picture Spa. We make digital prints in minutes and film is really 1 Hour if requested.http://www.picturespa.comwww.facebook.com/picturespa

It’s from 2001, Sid. Nobody had one-hour photo in the 80s!

Answer to Cathy’s question in the last panel: More than you have. Of course I’m with Cathy (and the rest of the clan) on this. Technology marches on, so she’ll eventually win. I do have to wonder what Cathy takes pictures of. We already know she has boxes and boxes of photos at home.

Afternoon Susan LOL you’re so fun on a Sunday! :-D Let’s see, you were here 5+ hours ago. LMB would have been standing on my chest around then, wanting to go out and then go for a ride.

I saw lightenup on another comic this morning, so I know she’s around. Probably reading last night’s stuff. Wow were we all chatty last night. :-D

    hi mom!

Poor Cathy . . . still, she’ll have time to make up an index for this set of prints while she’s waiting.

Yesterday was quite a day, wasn’t it? I spent most of the time alone, so it was good to be able to chat in here with my friends.

So she’s not getting her photos in an hour? And it appears that Sales Lady-clone is immune to abuse. Sorry Cathy, save the tantrum for someone who isn’t so thick-skinned.

AnonaMona loved your comment last night wondering if I’m mean, moody, and magnificent. Hmmm, is 1 out of 3 close enough? :-D

lightenup at the moment you’re giving me a totally blank stare. I assume you’re updating your avatar. Is go go Gadget gone gone?

Evening all. Seems that the impromptu Saturday night date last night was fun for all. :-D

    Hi Mom!

In about 2 minutes I’m gonna race LMB upstairs to bed . . . and win. :-D Night folks. Sweet dreams.

Wow. This one takes me back.

I agree that Cathy has a point here, although she manages to blow it up to nutjob proportions as usual. Ha.

    Happy Sunday, all.

Oh dear – I’m too late for a cookie! Hope they were good anyway.

Night, everyone who goes to bed. (I should have gone ages ago, but then I’m a bit of an owl – it’s early Monday morning here.) Hope you all have wonderful dreams which are only surpassed by an even better day ahead.

I had stopped reading the funnies for a very long time, are Cathy and Irving really married now? Wow! One of the reasons that I stopped reading the funnies was that this strip had stopped… Welcome back Cathy! You speak for alot of us, as does this particular salesclerk!

Regarding the comic, good for Cathy!! I get so annoyed when everyone else complains and I’m the nice one who deals with it and gets the short end of the stick. Regarding the comments, you all are incredible and we have such a wonderful group here. I totally value everyone, even when I make quick comments because of time constraints, I still think about how there’s a group of kind, funny people at the Cathy Corner to hang out with. My online “home”… Thank you to everyone for that!

@ KFG – I hope you’re having a successful visit home and that everything is going how you want it to go. I don’t remember how old you are (and it doesn’t really matter), but I wish you all the success with your move to Chile and your new love interest!!! I think everyone should take some sort of gamble in their lives, and bravo to you for going for it!I’ve taken two (at least, but I don’t want to bore you :-)) major gambles in my life that I’m proud of. The first one is after I graduated from college and was having trouble finding a job from my mom’s home in MD. So based on a gut feeling and a little bit of research (really, just a little), I packed my car and moved to Atlanta without a place to live or a job or even without knowing anyone here. Amazingly, I found a home in 2 days (mostly due to a nice Southern lady who took pity on me) and a job a few weeks later (ok, so it was waitressing, but it paid the bills), and here I am to stay many years later. My other “gamble” was when I agreed to marry my husband after knowing him for a month (and that was even mostly long-distance). He gave me a ring 3 weeks later, and here we are 13 years later with 2 kids. Crazy, but sometimes you just know that it’s the right decision…Anyway, please please keep us updated on what’s going on with you, and please let us know if you can’t post for a while so that we know you’re okay. Also, let me know if you’re ever in the Atlanta area and maybe we can meet somehow… that’d be fun! Super sister power!

My last comment for the night (I promise)… My little (well, not so little anymore) ones are passing another milestone tomorrow… Jr starts 4th grade and Lil starts 2nd. I totally love these years and am enjoying them, but am still sad about how fast they’re going. I’ll do my best to either have Jr post or I’ll let you know how it goes… ♥

The years go by far too fast, don’t they? All you have to do is blink, and suddenly they’re starting off into adulthood. My grandchildren are either at university or about to start – which I can’t quite believe at all.

I used to sing “The Circle Game” and get all sentimental because it was about my kids. Now I realise it’s about the grandkids too! Just enjoy the years while you’re in the middle of them, and try not to blink very often.
