America IS the WILD, WILD WEST!

What other country has so many mass shootings in a daily basis?

This all falls to the ignorance and GREED of the GOP, not wanting a bi-partisan gun control bill!

Reason? The BRIBE money is too much to pass up!

What the hell, they say…it’s only peoples lives….

Nope. The Shootout at the O. K Corral was an action to enforce a local gun ordinance. That’s not happening in 21st century America.

How annoying when neither  “thoughts and prayers” nor  making automatic weapons readily available to all — including suicidal maniacs who don’t want to die alone — aren’t impeded in the slightest by “good guys with guns” until it’s much too late. Could it possibly be that ideology isn’t helping to make America safer?

In the wake of yet another mass shooting — this time at a mall in Allen, Texas, where a gunman killed at least eight people — a Fox News guest recommended that Americans who fear they may be a victim of the next shooting should “be polite and professional, but plan to kill everyone you meet.”

A Republican congressman representing Allen, Texas — where a mass shooting killed at least eight people on Saturday — said people who don’t believe in the power of prayer following a violent incident aren’t believers of an “almighty god” after he was asked what his response would be to people who feel prayers are not the solution to mass shootings.

Authorities responded to a shooting at Allen Premium Outlets — a mall near Dallas, Texas — around 3:40 p.m. Allen Fire Department Chief Jonathan Boyd said in a press conference that seven people were found dead at the scene, while two more died after they were transported to area hospitals. Seven others were also injured, according to the fire chief. WFAA-TV reported that some of the victims could include children.

During an interview with CNN, Rep. Keith Self called for prayer in light of the mass shooting, which included injured victims as young as 5 years old.

When a CNN reporter asked what his response was to people who feel “prayers aren’t cutting it,” the congressman said, “Well, those are people that don’t believe in an almighty god who is absolutely in control of our lives.”

“I’m a Christian. I believe that he is,” Self said.

Republicans have repeatedly turned to crime in America as a platform talking point, framing it as an issue specific to large, Democratically-run cities.

While overall homicides increased domestically in 2020, an analysis by Third Way, a public policy think tank, found that murder rates are higher in “Trump-voting red states” than “Biden-voting blue states.”

“In 2020, per capita murder rates were 40% higher in states won by Donald Trump than those won by Joe Biden,” according to Third Way’s report.

‘Now it’s God’s fault’: Texas Republican slammed for claiming ‘the almighty’ controls shootings

“Well, those are people that don’t believe in an almighty God who, who has, who is absolutely in control of our lives.I’m a Christian. I believe that he is. We have people though, with mental health that we’re not taking care of since this nation made the decision that we were gonna close the mental health institutions. Many of these situations are based on that, uh, and the people that say, and, and I really, I would like to stay away from the politics today because I wanna focus on the victims. Today we should be focused on the families,” Self said. “Prayer is powerful in the lives of those people that are devastated. I know people want to make this political, but prayers are important and they are powerful in the families who are devastated right now.”

The frustration on social media was palpable.

You notice these would be heros with guns screaming about their rights, that more often murder their family over family squabbles, shoot at people ringing their door bell, turn around in their driveway, and such never go anywhere someone might shoot back, or first.

Well, exactly, the OK Corral. Guntroverts seem to think that 2023 is the Wild West and this ludicrous narrative of the lone good guy with a gun protecting himself and his (white) family. It’s only this way because they make it this way, and as every other civilized nation on Earth has shown, it doesn’t have to be this way.

The Gunfight at the OK Corral wasnt’ the end of it.

Afterward, one of Earp’s brothers was shot in the back and killed. After Earp killed THAT guy,he threw up his hands and resigned.

Doc Holliday came West with Earp hoping the dry air would cure his tuberculosis. It didn’t.
