Wasn’t everyone in the class of ‘83 strong, good looking, and above average?

I suspect the last panel showed three of the top achievers.

Doonesbury is one of few comic strips that have the characters age. I can’t possibly say that Trudeau’s time is the same as the “real” world. After seeing yesterday’s strip, I will mourn the days when our favorite characters are no more and the strip disappears.:-(

Wait. They were in college in the early 70s. How could they be the class of 83?

Years after I graduated, students at my alma mater came up with Muggle Quiditch. My wife looked at me and remarked, “They pay all that tuition, and this is what they do?”

Comic strip years must be similar to dog years

I went to five different high schools and three colleges. The idea of a “class reunion” holds no charm for me. I did go to my much older wife’s 50th high school reunion. I was the “trophy husband”. :)

(For the clueless, I’m not a cat nor do I pretend to be. My “handle” refers to my cat artworks which I call “catworks”.)
