Walks are good for you, too, Holli. Now shut up and go. I don’t know what’s with her, when I was a teenager, I nearly walked my dog’s legs off, then I’d take the neighbor’s dog for a walk. The exercise was great!

(first 2 sentences) on the nail ejcapulet.

I think Holly just wants to play with xbox (or mindlessly watch moron-box?) but mum has nipped it in the bud.

And there are stages when the answer to anything is “No!” One of the endearing things about children (and others!)

I got a dog when I was a young adult, thinking it would be great to take her when I went walking on our city’s bike path along the river. Figured a young woman with a dog would be less of a target for criminals. Stupid dog - as soon as I clipped a leash on her collar, she’d sit down. I could drag her until her fur wore off, and she still wouldn’t budge.

I think Mom wants Holly to get excercise as much as the dog. Do it, you’ll feel better afterward.

if my dogs listened better i would be glad to take them for a walk. i have 3 at my moms house and for some reason only one leash. so i would have to walk them one at a time 3 mile per walk. that would end up being 9 miles by the time i was done, BUT my dogs are so hard headed and anoying that they make it seem like a chore insted of fun. my dog at home is just crazy and can get out of his leash and run away. so im stuck.

I can’t take my dog for a walk outside, I don’t trust the leash to hold or me to hold him. He goes to wild trying to explore every facet of the outdoors, I suppose he is a lot like Tabby’s dogs.

    To prasrinivara:

In Holly’s defense, she is reading a book in panel one… not watching TV or playing games.

For those with dogs that pull, try something called Gentle Leader. Has worked wonders with the little monster to the right of the post. She can still pull hard if she sees a squirrel, but most of the time walks quite nicely.

tabbylynn; can you maybe buy several more leashes? or wouldn’t that help?

saucy1121; what IS a Gentle Leader? You haven’t said.

Rina: Gentle Leader is a type of dog collar. It goes around the nose then buckles just in back of the ears. Leash attaches below the nose. She can’t get much leverage to pull that way. Check your local pet store.
