    Tracy, you’re a looney-toon.

    Oh! Take that, Flatfoot!

Todays strip was actually quite good - finally we realise that glass is 3-dimensional.

Still not sure what happened to the floor tiles in panel 3 though.

Flatfoot? Is that term still in use?

At the angle Tracy hit the floor, I would think a broken neck would be a real probability. He’s not arresting anybody, I wonder that he’s still alive after that fall. For once, I suspect Grokenstein was a bit mild on today’s comment.

Tracy should have a broken neck and be paralyzed.

Well, in the past glory days, Tracy’s fallen from the roof of a skyscraper and was saved at the last minute by a fern and a shallow fountain, so a single storey fall onto his head is nothing.

The art on the fall of O-EJ yesterday and Tracy’s today is Brozman’s call and frankly ridiculous. Imagine! Head-first falls from 15 feet, they should both be “dead”. Most people falling will try to break the fall with their arms to protect the head. Not so here, one’s head went straight through a table, the other to the floor.

It’s like B.O. Plenty a few days ago. You’d think they were all in a “diving competition” into a swimming pool (?)

Tracy needs to read Jack his Miranda rights.

Grokenstein, Mike & Ludwig–any of you ever seen the Hot Shot movies, specifically Part Deux?

Tracy here is a bit like the Lloyd Bridges character in those films–all his parts have been replaced with substitutes. Specific substitute for Tracy’s backbone was one made of the same hardened rubber used to make some lawnmower blades (they won’t break on concrete, and stay sharp longer than steel).

Awww, come on. Let’s not play Trauma Nurses and carp about what we’ve pre-triaged as Tracy’s injuries. The action lately is pretty good, and I love Tracy’s hubris in panel 2.

Besides, he’s using a stunt double. It’s really Wally from Dilbert who got thrown out of the window.

The hopes I had at the beginning of this story have been thoroughly dashed. Yeah, JB’s artwork may be a bit better, but the story itself makes absolutely no sense. As before, the only reason left to read this strip is for the comments.

    Speaking of the story–

Has anyone yet figured out what the original crime is?

As I recall, Chet Gould once had Tracy get shot thru the head. However, it turned out to be non-essential brain tissue.

According to Gould’s storyline, the bullet was old and fired from an ancient gun and just had enough power to slap him in the forehead! Yes, even Chet had his outrageous period!

I don’t think that’s a pie-pan OEJ is swinging. In the spirit of the season, I thinks it’s The Stanley Cup. Nice swing though, eyes steady, arm straight hips cleared. Look out Eldrick

I like panel 2. It’s surreal. You will never see a conversation carried on by people in those positions ever again…

    This is getting good!

If Dick & Jim are reading the comments, pay no attention to the carpers. They’re only carping at today’s strip out of habit (and they’ll get over that if you can keep up this quality).
