If the neighbor kills it, the end result is the same. Did the neighbor hear this conversation?

Now we know where they went! How did the neighbor know the gophers came from Darryl’s yard?

We once had what sounded like a gopher that burrowed into an ant bed underground. It screamed as it was being consumed alive and a little of the top of the ant bed caved in a little.

The neighbor must be mad since every other time Daryll is on first names terms with all the neighbors.

Reminds me of the electric fire ant killer I tried back in the day. The ants pretty much crawled all over it, did not work at all.

Parents that do this kind of thing are not doing their kids any favors. They are just ducking the responsibility of teaching their children that sometimes the world isn’t nice.

Gophers gone, now all you have to do is deal with Hammie peeing in the yard. That’s going to be the tougher problem for sure.

Some gophers do not respect property lines.

    (Makes them practically human.)

My dad knew a farmer who had a serious raccoon problem. I mean SERIOUS. They were obliterating his crops. Finally, he got so fed up he applied for a permit to just shoot them. Turns out, you can get a permit to do that if you have a pest problem, especially for non-endangered species such as raccoons. It helps that shooting is very targeted, unlike poisoning or trapping. Anyway, when have this sort of removal permit there’s no limit, and he killed a staggering number — far, far more than would realistically be expected on his property, so he did some digging. Turns out, a nearby city’s animal control was live-trapping problem raccoons and then humanely releasing every single one of them on his property.

He and his lawyer had some words with that city, and his problem went away after that.

Those things don’t work. They are a total scam. If you have gophers, don’t bother with those.
