My bride loves squash, from acorn through zucchini. I, on the other hand, am not a fan. If Arlo has a squashless recipe I’m interested, or did I just step on the punchline.

Well, as for Janis I guess that kills the yumminess.

Mum always let the squash in her garden grow to baseball bat size, so the seeds were HUGE – and tough. My sister sort of liked zucchini, but loathed the seeds, and she and Mum would be in a constant battle of wits over hiding them one way or another.

I love zucchini, especially zucchini waffles. i try to grow extra plants so I could have some for me and some for the chickens , but I only get male flowers and no fruit.

Zucchini is the only squash I will eat.

Actually, I love squash casserole made with fresh squash. Sauteed squash served limp and soggy? Not so much.

I have meat in my lasagna, but no cheese as I am very allergic to cheese mold.

I’m with George Carlin – “Squash. Yuck. It sounds like someone sat on dinner.”

I found a recipe for squash where you brown it with butter and garlic. The important part is having the squash in a single layer so it browns evenly.

Is it the thought that counts?

Squash is good, but he is right that just peppers and onions is a treat.

I’ve heard spaghetti squash can replace the pasta spaghetti, but I don’t care to see it…

I’ve never heard of squash casserole, but my Upper Midwestern grandmother used to make zucchini hotdish. Now I’m going to have to get the ingredients to make it.
