Really, Gary, to complete the facade, which is the slogan of this Presidunce, the hat should read “BUILD BACK GOODER”!Daeder; You being facetious, or you just a liberal Kool-Aid imbiber?Shod; Well we think it’s time to replace a party that has outlived its “use by date”. Truman was the last democrap worth anything.bkincald; Varvel has exhibited more grasp of reality than every liberal urinalist [sic] on Earth.
I was proud of the progressive Lincoln, TR, Eisenhower Republican party that my family belonged to. The highway system improved living conditions and gave us easy access to goods and jobs that we never had before. The progressive movement ended with Nixon and my family and I left the party when the former Dixiecrats and segregationists/supremacists were welcomed into the party and the decay began. The gloom and doom of the current anti-growth party — except for the wealthy private-sector members — is the cause not the rescuer of the “left behind”.
From this side of the fence.. We wonder why.. why, is there such animosity about building back, better or whatever. Surely the condition of.. airports.. harbours.. roads.. hospitals.. education.. medical care… could do with a bit of upgrading. The republicans seem to be against everything that they can’t get credit for. Brings to mind that old saying about cutting off your nose to spite your face. [Sheesh]
So much of the difference between progressive and conservative world views really boils down to “we” versus “me”.
The pro view is that we’re all in this together and together we can do better. The con view is “me, me, me. More for me”.
Democrats: What can we do together?
Republicans: What can I get away with doing TO you?
I’m sure there are some very nice republicans. But they vote for despicably evil people and listen, read, believe, and spread lies on the TV and internet.
In order to be a con, you have to be an imbecile or an arsehole, unfortunately many are both.
Bless his heart. He’s so far behind the news he doesn’t realize that bridge failed hours before President Biden arrived to promote BBB.And/Or… he’s trashing American made products.
Why are you so happy about this, Mr. Varvel? Democrats are trying to get things fixed and Republicans are all agin it. Seems to me (another) bridge just collapsed. God forbid we spend any taxpayer money to fix these things. But wait! Isn’t that what people pay taxes for? Could it be Republicans don’t care about fixing and maintaining America?
Maybe this is a more subtle version of yesterday’s attempt to encourage someone to assassinate the President. He probably won’t give up until someone actually attempts it and then he’ll just say “tsk, tsk, it’s all Biden’s fault anyway>”
Thanks to 50 Republicans that cannot and will not think for themselves. Especially, when they see destroying the USA as somehow being a win for Republicans.

Twix the optimist and the pessimist, the difference is droll, the optimist sees the donut, the pessimist the hole. “Thats Varvel!”

The ignorance and determination to end and devalue our country with Varvel and the rest of the Schadenfreude Party will never make sense.

Don’t blame the president, Scary Gary. Blame Congress. Particularly those wearing red ties.

As usual, Varvel is totally ignoring the fact that it’s McConnell and his gang who are picking out the stitches in this metaphorical hat.
