Agreed, wacking it with the rake, then the branch breaking, falling on my head, and going to the hospital to get stiches. Why you say, because as a kid those were the idiotic things I did as a kid. Well, honestly, still do. Ha!
If only it was as easy as that. There are plenty more trees around with leaves yet to fall. And there are leaves that are very willing to be blown in from the neighbors.

My father in law used to get up on a ladder to pick leaves off the lower branches. We had to take the ladder away.

We planted a climbing tree for our 1st grandchild this Spring, so they can grow together.1 last leaf still hanging on.
