Republican authoritarian capitalism would sort it out but they are too busy destroying democracy and spreading covid.

There was a time — before supply-side economics turned us into a service economy — when we could make our own stuff and did not depend as heavily on international supply chains, that we would not have had this problem.

Also, please watch where you drop your anchors! There may be oil pipelines on the sea bottom.

“Off shore” doesn’t JUST mean “cheaper” it also means more failure modes during shipping. And “Cheaper” doesn’t JUST mean less expensive…

Sorry kids. Santa couldn’t bring you as many toys this year. He put on a lot of weight and simply couldn’t get as many presents into the sleigh this year.

There must be some way to blame this on Biden. Think.

Santa needs to drive a few trucks to get the goods where they need to go. We have all of the ships waiting to unload, thousands intact, it’s the lack of truck drivers that’s the biggest problem now.

As for supply, in my job I watched GM and other big companies put their entire US supply chain out of business so they could get cheap priced parts from China. They got cheap stuff, yes, but poor quality. Thats part of the reason the depression of 2008 happened.

Socialism 101: Gasoline costs $7 per U.S. gallon in Sweden. Natural gas costs seven times more in Sweden than the U.S. However, the have free healthcare. Isn`t that nice?

US Capitalism has put our entire nation at the mercy of the Chinese. Literally. The Chinese can bring us to our knees almost instantly just by not shipping to us. We no longer make anything here because that’s inconvenient for the owner class, so we’re dependent on the goodwill of the Chinese government, and it doesn’t have any.

Why did our federal government allow this to happen, and who was responsible for it? What are our chances of recovering from this without an atomic war?

Which government officials and members of the owner class need to be executed in order to get the attention of the others? And how do we start that process?
